Red-lipped batfish are closely related to rosy-lipped batfish (Ogcocephalus porrectus), which are found near Cocos Island off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Batfish (females in video) are not good swimmers; they use their highly adapted pectoral, pelvic and anal fins to "walk" on the ocean floor

About 700 years ago on Marco Island, a Calusa artist carved this deer head from wood, painted it blue, black and white, inlaid the eyes, and attached the ears so they could actually move on cords. Ancient Florida had moving wooden masks.
