Seven miles above the Florida peninsula, the world outside the windows of Learjet 60 N722BD is a blinding, bruised void of storm cloud and freezing rain. The outside air temperature sits at a bitter minus 47 degrees Celsius. Bound from Austin to the sun-drenched waters of Freeport in the Bahamas, the nine souls on board are instead trapped inside a violent churn of upper-atmosphere weather. In the cockpit, the two pilots - a male pilot and his female co-pilot, whose voice handles the radio - are fighting to keep the ride comfortable as unseen currents hurl the jet up and down by 700 feet at a time. They radio air traffic control to report moderate turbulence, precipitation, and clear ice beginning to coat the sleek white airframe, asking for a higher altitude to climb out of the storm. Normally, a jet aircraft stays in the sky because of a delicate, invisible bargain struck between metal and air. As the swept wings slice forward, air rushes smoothly over their curved upper surfaces, accelerating and creating a pocket of low pressure that pulls the heavy fuselage upward. When a pilot wants to climb, they ease back on the control yoke; a small hinged flap on the tail tilts upward, the wind pushes the tail down, the nose rises, and the wings bite deeper into the sky. But now, with the ice forming over the airframe, the hand that writes very laws of physics that hold a giant metallic bird aloft in flight also pens the signature that condemns them back to earth. As the pilots nose the Learjet upward to escape the weather, the thin glaze of ice adhering to the leading edges of the wings changes the shape of the metal. What was once a razor-smooth curve is now jagged and rough. In the thin, starved air of 35,000 feet, the wind can no longer cling to the upper surface of the wing. As the nose tilts higher, the rushing air simply tears away from the right wing in a chaotic swirl of dead eddies. In an instant, the bargain is broken. The right wing stops flying. Without warning, the sky inside the cockpit turns on its side. Stripped of lift on its right half, the Learjet snaps violently into a steep 60-degree bank, and the heavy nose drops straight into the abyss. Inside the flight deck, the control columns shudder violently as the stall warning systems erupt, and the autopilot surrenders with a piercing alarm. Instinctively, both pilots grab the yokes, throwing their weight left to level the wings and pulling back to bring the nose up. Normally, the aircraft would answer. Normally, the wind would catch the elevators on the high T-tail and lever the nose back toward the horizon. Instead, the sleek, bullet-like fuselage plunges downward, accelerating with terrifying speed through the thin air. Within seconds, the jet slices past its speed limit, approaching the speed of sound. Out on the wings, the air can no longer get out of the way fast enough. Invisible shockwaves - walls of compressed air - slam into existence across the wings, forcefully shoving the plane's center of lift backward. Instead of wanting to level out, the aircraft's own geometry now acts like a giant invisible hand pressing the nose harder and harder toward the vertical. Worse still, those same shockwaves wash over the tail, turning the air around the control flaps into concrete. The pilots are pulling back with everything they have, straining against the yokes, but the controls are aerodynamically frozen. At this point, their fates were sealed, and every futile action would only ever lead to the inevitable conclusion. Caught in the iron grip of compressibility and shockwave lockup, the Learjet had crossed the threshold where human muscle and mechanical leverage could no longer overcome the tyranny of transonic physics.

Inside the cabin, the shriek of the overspeed alarm fills the air as the floor tilts sharply downward. Keying the microphone, the female pilot’s voice cuts across the radio frequency, rising into a frantic scream as the altimeter spins backward like a broken clock: "722 Bravo Delta… we're descending 8,000—Mayday, Mayday! We're descending 10,000 feet per minute!" Miles away in a quiet radar room, the air traffic controller watches the data block on his screen begin to bleed altitude at a horrifying rate. Trying to project calm into a cockpit descending into chaos, the controller clears the airspace beneath them, telling them they have any altitude they need. "I'm here with you," the controller urges over the frequency. "Talk to me." In the cockpit, the roar of the wind tearing past the windshield is deafening. The pilots are hauling back on the yokes, fighting a 60-degree roll as the vertical speed needle pegs past 20,000 feet per minute. They are falling nearly four miles every sixty seconds. "We are in an overspeed condition, descending 20,000 feet per minute!" the pilot cries out over the blaring alarms. Seconds later, as the instruments show 22,000 feet per minute and accelerating toward a peak of over 32,000 feet per minute, the cold reality of their trajectory strips away all procedural training. "We're going to crash into the ground, 722 Bravo Delta," comes the chilling transmission. Outside, the howling jet punches out of the bottom of the dark cloud deck. For the first time since the dive began, the gray blindness gives way to the sudden, rushing sprawl of Palm Beach County—palm trees, rooftops, and the asphalt ribbon of Military Trail hurtling straight up at the windshield at hundreds of miles per hour. The open microphone captures the final seconds of terror in the cockpit as the earth fills the glass: "Look outside, Jack… Holy fuck, we're out of time!" The radio goes dead. Less than a heartbeat later, just shy of 12:50 PM, the Learjet strikes the earth like a missile, leaving behind only silence on the frequency.

From roads to rails.
Last week Stripe launched Link Balance for agents. There's been many takes explaining its details, but I think most are missing the forest for the trees. In this article I explain Stripe's real goal: taking over Visa and MC as the World's payment network.

Interesting. Ribbita.ai is rejecting any wallet that attempts to claim the leap of faith nft now... Was this a time limited claim? it is the bridge wallet-screen banner, not a new claim page. /api/screen is answering 200 with status: "unavailable" and null risk fields. The page treats any screen value other than clear or skipped as "The wallet check is not available right now. Please try again in a few minutes." and disables the form. A real block would say "This wallet is not eligible to use the bridge." The Leap of Faith claim API itself is up. /api/leap-of-faith returns an eligibility boolean. Its own failure text is "Could not check this wallet", not this banner. $tibbir

$pizza Grokbot with etherscan api is pretty good. Can just ask it about the price action... Is it TP or stop loss driving PA? Neither one is driving it right now. Most selling is lots of small wallets exiting at or just above break-even. The big holders mostly took their profit 2 to 6 hours ago, and late buyers bailing at a loss are what's pushing the price under $0.002 now. Big holders: they did most of their selling between about 05:00 and 09:00 AEDT, with the top 100 making up 36% of the $1.6M sold then. Several fully exited at 7x to 10x. In the last 2 hours their share dropped to 13% ($60k), and only one top-20 wallet sold. That wallet is the 0xa8d1 contract, and it took $19k at 3.4x. Late top buyers: they made up 33% of the last 2 hours' sells ($153k), up from 8% earlier. They're mostly wallets that bought at $0.0023 to $0.0031 and are exiting 10% to 30% down, often within 30 minutes. The losses are spread evenly, with no pile-up at round levels like −10% or −20%, so it looks like manual panic selling more than set stop-losses. Small profit-takers: they're still the biggest group at 51%, and many are close to break-even. PIZZA is at $0.00183, which is 53% below its 09:07 high and 19% down in the last hour, with about 1.9 sells for every buy. Earlier, three wallets with the same entry price and the same 19-minute hold sold about $10.5k each. They look like one operator split across several addresses.

$GLOAM is one of the fastest shipping teams I've watched this cycle, and most people haven't noticed yet. A week ago @gloamtrade was a testnet. Since then they've shipped: • Mainnet on Robinhood Chain and Tempo, moving real money privately • A bridge that brings funds in from Solana, Bitcoin and 22 EVM chains, straight into a private balance • Base and Ethereum mainnets, so you can send USDC and EURC without your wallet history showing • Privacy for @virtuals_io agents through ACP, so who an agent works for, what it charges and what it pays out stay off the public ledger. It's open source and on npm. • @KannAudits as official audit partner. Kann has done 61 audits securing over $2B in TVL. The next launch is private stock trading on Robinhood Chain, which goes live today at 12:00 UTC. You'll be able to buy and sell tokenised stocks without anyone being able to see what you hold. The case is simple. Every on-chain payment today is public forever. That was fine while on-chain money was an experiment. Once teams are paid in USDC, freelancers invoice in EURC and AI agents hire each other, people won't accept a public ledger for their finances. Privacy is the missing layer, and Gloam is building it across chains, for both people and agents. Seven days, two chains became five, and agents and stocks are coming. This is early. The issue with trenches is that those who pump a token narrative very rarely are the same group who would use the utility of that product. Traders want early entry, a narrative to pump, and an exit. If you're buying the narrative you just bought the hype. That's why we see charts that surge, peak, dump then barely ever recover. Traders have moved on, utility may still be being built and actual product use doesn't return value to the holders at the same pace as pumped hype narrative. At least memes are honest in that respect. They are purely a battle of attention and story telling.
