Very disappointing response from @CanalRiverTrust about the 'existing' water point on the Slough Arm of the GU canal. Provision of services on isolated sections of the system encourage less isolation. Obviously not a priority for @CRTSouthEast – at Lewisham, London
One of the key @CanalRiverTrust crossing of the Pennines has been closed since March, doesn't look likely to be reopened anytime soon. The rest of the canal looks in a very sorry state.

I visited @AshtonBears during the by-election to hear about their plans and was glad to return last night with a small donation to the fund.
