Late night train into Liaoyang gave a sneak peak of illuminated Baita pagoda, another millennium-old 11th century Liao titan, and the next day in the mist.
Baita is annexed to huge Guangyou temple 广佑寺, rebuilt after being razed by Russian troops during 1900 Boxer revolt.
