At a press conference about fighting fraud, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was asked why #ICE reportedly paid $495 million for a Minnesota prison that had been listed for sale at just $75 million. That's a $420 MILLION difference! Rather than explain the enormous price discrepancy, Bessent said he didn't know about the purchase and dismissed the reporter's question.
