Capitalismo no es cuando cosas y tecnología eh?
Que haya tenido que venir la IA a volver a hacer los comentarios de twitter medio decentes para conseguir contexto me tiene dando volteretas pero siempre peor, todo siempre a peor.

Yes, this is normal, and it is even more normal on a hybrid.
What you are seeing is not rust on your alloys. It is rust on your brake discs and brake hubs, seen through the spokes of the alloy.
Brake discs are made of bare cast iron. They have no paint, no coating, nothing to protect them. The moment they get wet, they start to rust on the surface. In the UK, with rain, damp air, and road salt, a brake disc can turn orange overnight after one rainy night. You can wash the car, park it, and by morning it is brown again.
It looks worse on hybrid because a hybrid uses regenerative braking most of the time. When you slow down gently, the electric motor does the braking, not the brake pads. That means your actual brake discs are used much less than on a normal petrol car. Less use means the rust is not cleaned off as often. On a normal car, one or two hard stops will wipe the rust clean and the disc becomes shiny again. On a hybrid, if you drive gently, that rust can sit there for days.
Now, it is more common on the passenger side than both wheels cause in the UK, that is the kerb side. It gets more puddles, more spray, more standing water, more salt from the edge of the road. It also gets less airflow when parked. If you park with one side facing the wind or the rain, that side will rust more. It does not mean there is a fault on one side.
So it’s Normal when there’s thin orange surface rust on the flat face of the disc. It disappears after a few firm brakes. No noise after 2 to 3 stops. No vibration.
Not normal when there’s Deep pitting, flaking, grooves in the disc. Rust on the bodywork, under the wheel arch, or on suspension parts on a 4 month old car. Grinding or vibration that does not go away after braking. Brake pedal feeling soft or car pulling to one side.
What should you do?
Once a week, find a safe quiet road and do 3 to 4 firm brakes from about 40 mph down to 20 mph, not emergency stops, just firm. That will clean the discs. Also do not leave the car parked for a week with wet brakes after washing, drive it for 5 minutes and use the brakes to dry them.
Should you go back to MG?
For a 4 month old car, it is worth taking a photo to the dealer and logging it, just so it is on record. But do not expect a replacement. Almost every manufacturer will tell you the same thing. Surface rust on brake discs is normal wear and is not covered under warranty, because it happens to every brand, from MG to BMW to Toyota.
This is one of those things every new car owner worries about the first time, then learns to ignore.😅
