JB Pritzker says property taxes are a local problem. That’s dishonest.
He forces costs onto your schools and towns, then refuses to send enough money to pay for them.
You get stuck paying it through your property taxes.
It's getting out-of-control and it's JB's FAULT.

2018: “We’ve got to lower the local property tax.”
That was JB Pritzker when he wanted to be governor.
NOW: “I have nothing to do with your property taxes.”
He had plenty to do with them when he wanted the job.

Illinois getting a credit upgrade is good news. I’m not going to tell you otherwise just because I’m running against JB Pritzker.
But let’s put it in perspective.
Illinois STILL has the lowest credit rating of any state in America.
And while Wall Street says Illinois government is doing better, ask the people who actually live here how they’re doing.
In some Chicagoland communities, property tax bills have jumped more than 30%.
The gas tax has more than doubled since Pritzker took office.
Vehicle registration costs more. Sales taxes have gone up. Now tolls are going up too.
And somehow, after taking all that money from us, JB Pritzker signed the largest budget in Illinois history at nearly $56 billion, with hundreds of millions MORE in new taxes.
That’s the part he wants you to ignore.
JB didn’t make government more affordable. He made YOU pay more to afford government.
More at the pump. More at the toll booth. More to register your car. A lot more when the property tax bill comes.
Death by a thousand cuts.
And Illinois families are bleeding out.
A credit rating tells Wall Street whether Illinois government can afford to pay its bills.
It doesn’t tell you whether YOU can afford yours.
It doesn’t tell you about the family looking at their property tax bill wondering how much longer they can stay in their home.
It doesn’t tell you about the small business owner watching every cost creep higher.
It doesn’t tell you about the mom driving her kids back and forth to school, stopping at the grocery store, then watching $70 disappear when she fills up the tank.
That’s the Illinois I care about.
Because when Springfield spends too much, there is no magic pot of money that makes up the difference.
It comes from you.
It ALWAYS comes from you.
So yes, I’m glad Illinois can borrow money cheaper.
Now let’s make Illinois cheaper to live in.

Illinois JB Pritzker said he would not raise sales taxes or toll roads fees to accommodate the Chicago Bears
So the Chicago Bears started working on a deal with Indiana
JB Pritzker then raised taxes and tolls anyway….. absolutely insane
- JB Pritzker repeatedly said Illinois would not raise sales taxes or tolls to pay for a privately owned stadium for the Bears
- Pritzker signed legislation that raised the sales tax in Cook County and the collar counties
- The Illinois Tollway, whose board is appointed by the governor; he is an ex-officio member, then proposed raising passenger vehicle tolls a 57% increase
You don’t hate Democrats enough

JB Pritzker has spent eight years taxing Illinois families to death, and voters have had enough.
He’s unpopular. He’s under 50%. And this race is within reach.
We can and will beat JB Pritzker.

The federal government has come in, and federal assistance will continue to come in. Much of the outrage surrounding this issue is extreme conflation designed for political theater by Illinois’ demcorat left political class.
Why? Because when you have a horrendous governing record to run on, you need a foggy, muddy grievance issue to distract voters from that record.
Look at the platforms of the Democratic candidates running in Illinois. What exactly are they running for? Illinois is so badly mismanaged that they have virtually no successful governing record to point to, no meaningful reform agenda, and few substantive Illinois issues they actually want voters examining too closely.
So instead of defending the results of one-party government, our taxes, economic performance, public safety, education outcomes, pension pressures, housing costs, gas costs, unemployment, population losses and overall cost of living, they change the subject.
Create a grievance. Conflate the facts. Manufacture a federal-versus-Illinois fight. Then make the campaign about Donald Trump.
When you can’t credibly run on “Look what we’ve accomplished,” the fallback becomes “Orange Man Bad.”
That may be effective political theater in leftists zoom chats, But it isn’t a governing platform, and it certainly doesn’t answer for what has happened to Illinois under Democrat leadership❗️

Illinoisans shouldn't fear that their zip code or party affiliation determines if they get help after a disaster.
Trump turned his back on them after last year's severe storms.
Today, I'm signing legislation so families receive direct rebates for flooding damage to their homes.
ALT Governor JB Pritzker today signed Senate Bill 3925 into law, authorizing local home equity assurance programs to provide financial relief to eligible homeowners whose residences are damaged by flooding. The new law gives participating communities another tool to help families recover as the Trump administration retreats from its responsibility to provide critical relief to families impacted by natural disasters.

Illinois taxpayers just dropped nearly $190 million on the Springfield fairgrounds. That includes $117.8 million from Rebuild Illinois and another $15.5 million just to run the fair this year.
He claims the ROI is already paying off, even though the estimated economic impact is only about $100 million and last year’s sales tax haul was just $2.6 million.
But when the Bears need a stadium, he suddenly turns into a fiscal hawk. @JBPritzker has repeatedly called protecting taxpayers his “No. 1 principle” and refused any public money for a “billionaire-owned team” as the Bears shift their focus to Hammond, Indiana.
King Pritzker spends your money however he wants. Your wallet is his ATM.

I might have been impressed if in the seven plus years that you’ve been in office you balanced budgets and saw credit upgrades by being fiscally responsible, but it’s been just the opposite
You’ve increased spending 40% and property taxes by 27% and then there’s the doubling of the gas tax and more pension debt and on and on and on ……
Those of us who pay attention know the credit upgrades were generated in great part by COVID and Federal funds
It wasn’t for reasons of actual disaster that you issued your 39th COVID Emergency in 2023 with Illinois being the only state in the Midwest still to do so, you needed the money
Illinois’Rainy Day fund is approximately $2.2 Billion and can last for 15 days. Indiana’s is over $4 Billion and can last 63 days
It’s a real shame that far too many people believe your BS and are unaware of the damage that you and Stratton have caused Illinois
Boy your family knew exactly what they were doing when they kicked you out of the family empire

Forget a small loan of a million dollars.
JB Pritzker wants everyone to know he only inherited $1.7 billion.
A story every working family can relate to.

Was it good governance to issue 119 COVID executive orders, 42 successive 30-day disaster proclamations, closing or restricting businesses and shuttering schools during the pandemic?
DataRules! retweeted
Pritzker said he “would not hesitate” to follow Fauci’s advice on COVID.
Illinois ranked near the bottom of the nation in keeping schools open. Mortality was no better than Florida’s. Thirty-nine emergency orders later, the damage is still in every Chicago classroom.
CPS chronic absenteeism is still near 40%.
Teachers are being laid off. The district is begging Springfield for money.
Average on deaths.
Extraordinary damage to kids.
Zero accountability.

With Fauci in the news, never forget how Pritzker shut down our economy, our workplaces and our schools for 3 straight years.
Pritzker loves to talk "democracy", but he used Executive Powers – 42 straight "emergency proclamations" – to run the state unilaterally.
His first executive order was in March 2020 and his last was on April 2023.
That alone should disqualify him from being a governor in this country, much less a candidate for President of America.

🚨 BOOM! AG Todd Blanche confirms that Illinois is hereby BANNED from giving discounted in-state tuition to illegal aliens, DOJ has WON in federal court
BLANCHE: "Illinois gave in-state tuition to illegal aliens and treated American students like second-class citizens. That’s unconstitutional, and we sued and won. The Department of Justice will fight any state that puts illegal aliens ahead of American citizens."

Another Chicago bailout incoming?
How about we fire the Mayor Johnson and Governor Pritzker instead?
We aren’t even 12 months departed from the last Chicago bailout of CTA to the tune of $1.5B/year. Cook and collar sales taxes and tolls going up August 1st to pay for it.
Chicago Public Schools staring down a $732 MILLION deficit! What in the world????
This is a serious question for serious people, In what universe does a ‘business’ this size get to bleed cash like a sieve, lay off teachers, slash the calendar… and just demand more taxpayer bailouts?
Simple answer: government because of ZERO accountability.
If I ran my company this way, I’d be bankrupt, auctioning off the furniture, cabinet knobs, and sleeping in my car. No golden parachute from Springfield or Washington DC would head my way.
This isn’t ‘shared sacrifice’—it’s clown world accounting hurting kids and teachers.
Enough is enough. Illinois needs real change now.

Replying to @GovPritzker
Gov. Pritzker is the worst governor in America.
Illinois has the worst big state job growth.
Illinois is losing 4 small businesses per week to other states.
We are hemorrhaging people to other states
Another massive win for Chicago IL!
You must all be so proud.
