X is saturated with AI slop right now, so I wanted to make another post about a project I've been building to give myself and other weather enthusiasts a way to catalog their favorite weather / chase photos! Long-term goal for the project is citizen science given enough traction.
The link is skychaser.mesoview.app. Feedback / suggestions welcome!
Such a great year to have moved to New England! #mawx #fallfoliage
Just another day in Scituate #MAwx during the Nor'easter. Taken today at 12:50pm.
Foraker, OK on 4/26
It's the end of meteorological summer soon, what is your best weather photo from this year so far?

Lots of people are calling these asperitas clouds, but they are more accurately supercilium or "eyebrow" clouds associated with a mountain wave.
Definitely an exceptionally rare and unique display of this type of cloud.
Imagine if every chaser dot was recording temperature, dewpoint, wind, and infrasound around developing thunderstorms
Some screenshots of my new spotter report website which doubles as a storm chasing portfolio and a crowd-sourced weather event database. I've been working on this for a while and am planning to launch soon. Thoughts and ideas welcome!
Making progress on a fully functional prototype of this idea. Feedback and suggestions welcome!
Any other iNaturalist users out there wishing that a similar app existed for the weather community?
I'd love a place to post photos of storms, sunsets, horseshoe vortex clouds, northern lights, halos, fog, etc. for scientific research similar to what you can do for wildlife.

This is something I have never seen before on satellite.
Clouds perfectly outlining roads.
Just incredibly neat imagery of Houston, Texas this morning.
Massive shoutout to @Emokwx who discovered it.
