I’ve been thinking about the attack on King Khalid International Airport all morning. And I still can’t stop feeling angry. For me, Saudi Arabia is a country of people who build and create. Great, ambitious projects, yes. But also thousands of small things that make everyday life better for others. I love the people of this country. One of the things that touches me most as I learn Arabic is something so simple. You wish someone something good, and sometimes they don't just say “you too”. They say “and even more for you”, or “may you receive many times what you wished for me”. Maybe if you’ve spoken Arabic all your life, you barely notice these little exchanges. But I’m still learning, and I notice them. They touch me every time. There is something beautiful about receiving a kind wish and wanting to give the other person even more kindness in return. And I think these little things tell us something about how people see one another and how they choose to treat each other. I love how readily people offer help to someone who needs it, even a complete stranger. I admire their strength, their dignity, and the way they stand together when hardship comes to their home. I’ve written more than once that Saudi Arabia is a treasure. And I mean it. Above all, because of its people. People with kind and wise hearts, and remarkable strength of spirit. And all morning I keep coming back to one thought. These are the people whose home was attacked. This is the country someone chose to send missiles into. To a civilian airport, where people were simply working, travelling, waiting to meet their loved ones, living their ordinary lives. War is ugly everywhere. No one, anywhere, deserves this. But when it reaches a place you love, and people who have shown you so much kindness, the pain and anger become terribly personal. I cannot see a trace of honour or kindness in the decision to fire missiles at a civilian airport. I keep thinking about the people who spend their lives building, creating, helping others. And then about those who made a decision that ended lives and changed so many others forever. How can someone have so little regard for human life? I cannot reconcile these two things. And today, I cannot stop feeling angry. Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones. 🤍 More than anything in the world, I wish I could be there with you right now. 💔 #SaudiArabia #Riyadh

I've said it for years, but I always thought white balloon flowers inspired NieR's lunar tears, but the Fuji pink colour inspired Drakengard 3's flower. They're native in Japan.

This is an MBS appreciation post. I don’t think he gets anywhere near enough credit for what he’s doing for the Muslim world. In Sudan, he’s fighting against the genocidal RSF militia. In Yemen, he’s backing the Yemeni government against the khat munching rogue Houthi militia. In Syria, he’s investing billions into its reconstruction and is the main backer of the vision to turn the country into a major trade and connectivity hub. In Lebanon, he’s the main backer of the Lebanese government, both economically and diplomatically. In Palestine, he’s helped secure Trump’s backing for the Gaza peace plan and is set to invest billions in Gaza’s reconstruction and the establishment of a Palestinian state. He successfully lobbied France, Britain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Malta, Andorra, Monaco and San Marino to recognise Palestinian statehood, with Belgium also committing to recognition. In Pakistan, he’s repeatedly stepped in with billions in financial assistance to help prevent an economic collapse. In Somalia, he’s supporting Somalia’s unity and working to block any recognition of breakaway regions like Somaliland. And in Saudi Arabia, he’s grown the sovereign wealth fund from $150 billion to 1 trillion and doubled the country’s GDP since taking power. All of this while confronting Iranian and Israeli expansionism across the region, and while being called a traitor and a sellout. If you’ve been conditioned to hate this man, ask yourself how much of that hatred comes from what you actually know and how much comes from what you’ve been fed. Because whatever you think of him, you should be hoping and praying that he succeeds in what he’s trying to achieve. If his vision succeeds, the entire Muslim world stands to benefit.

It truly means a lot to see people from different countries and cultures expressing their love and support for my country. Saudi Arabia is a nation of peace, a country that always welcomes the world with open arms and open hearts, regardless of nationality, religion, or cultural background. In our country, we connect with people through our shared humanity, beyond our differences. We believe in respect, coexistence, and building bridges between nations, because what unites us as human beings is far greater than what divides us. Thank you, Micheal, for your beautiful words and your sincere support for Saudi Arabia! 🇸🇦🤍 @ColdBrief #السعودية #سفراء_الاعلام #ليندا_الفيصل
I’m not Muslim. I’m Christian. I’m not Arab. I’m Dutch-Norwegian. But standing with Saudi Arabia has nothing to do with my religion or ethnicity! It’s about principles, loyalty to truth, and standing against extremism and terrorism! You don’t have to be Arab to stand with the Arabs! You don’t have to be Muslim to stand with Saudi Arabia! 🇸🇦 ✅ Yes, I need a haircut!
