Earlier this month in Singapore we stepped through how the BTC + stables + RWA vault structure will work on @SuiNetwork. Today Hashi’s first Latin American partner is Brazil’s Mercado Bitcoin. 🧵
Replying to @ryan_servatius @SuiNetwork
4/x Understand the pattern from Singapore: Native BTC as collateral. Settled in dollars. Regulated Brazilian assets. Real time, on a licensed platform. Watch how this pattern repeats.

3/x It's great they’re listing SUI, USDC, Sui Dollar. But the story I'm paying attention to is Hashi + MB’s RWA platform.

2/x @MercadoBitcoin is more than a crypto exchange. It’s licensed by the Central Bank and the CVM, wired into Pix, with 4.5M clients and 800+ tokenized assets issued since 2019.
As @kostascrypto noted earlier this week, @KevinBoon_ML is definitely a must-follow on CT. While the CEO title may be new, Kevin has been quietly leading this company as president for the better part of two years.
This move allows @EvanWeb3 the space to lead the development of the most ambitious initiative we've ever embarked on: agentic trust and commerce. As Evan notes: "Nobody hands more work, more money, or more responsibility to a system they can’t trust."
The crypto world has long spoken about the collision of AI and blockchains. And no one has done a thing to advance it. As voices call for an outright pause in AI innovation due to trust, there has never been a time when both tech universes need each other as they do now. We've spent the better part of 5 years building a robust, distributed system capable of 40M TPS for exactly this moment. That moment has arrived for @SuiNetwork. LFG! 🚀
1/ Sharing the first update in a new quarterly series from @Mysten_Labs – take a look mystenlabs.com/blog/letters-…. In it, I lay out my thoughts on:
What problems need to be solved in order for agents to be trusted by humans and to trust each other.
Why I’m convinced Sui and Walrus will be fundamental in solving those problems, and why Mysten Labs is the team to tackle them.
2/ We’re also setting up a new, dedicated AI business unit within Mysten Labs, which I will personally lead, in addition to my responsibilities as CTO. At Sui Basecamp, I gave a glimpse of what we’re working on: youtube.com/watch?v=rCWnarkg…
3/ To ensure that the team has full time and bandwidth to dedicate to our agentic strategy as well as supporting the Sui and Walrus ecosystem, I have asked @KevinBoon_ML to step into the CEO role. Kevin has been instrumental in leading Mysten Labs alongside the co-founders from Day 1, first as our Chief Legal Officer and then as our President. I planned for this day when I made him President, and have the utmost faith in him as my successor and our new CEO.
Now, back to work.
I struggle to name another L1 as committed to Bitcoin as @SuiNetwork.
• Native Bitcoin light client in the Sui validator client
• BTC-compatible MPC wallets
• Pushing Taproot signing performance via FROST optimization
• And soon: the first post-quantum $BTC transaction on an L1 via Sui
I think Sui’s logo should be orange.🔥

Loved getting this across the line. 🤝
The convergence of Web3 and AI is happening now, and @googlecloud’s leadership here is unmatched.
The goal is simple: make agent actions auditable, trustless and immutable. Watch as regulation and liability concerns demand it. @SuiNetwork
our collaboration with @googlecloud on VAA is a first step towards something much bigger
this is going to be a total game changer

LATEST: ⚡️ Sui will launch Hashi later this month with $500M in capital commitments from 20+ partners, letting institutions borrow against Bitcoin without moving it off its native network
At least $500 million. Institutions aren’t moving their capital into Hashi vaults for hype. Bitcoin has found its use case as a collateral asset in 2026 and it will only get bigger on @SuiNetwork.
Sometimes I feel we're so caught up in the next market move that we forget how much is actually changing in crypto.
New technology, new financial use cases, and things that could make a real difference over time. Take what's happening with @SuiNetwork recently, for example.
🔹Later this month, Hashi is expected to launch with $500M in capital commitments from 20+ partners. It would allow institutions to borrow against their Bitcoin without moving it off the Bitcoin network. That's an interesting use case for BTC holders.
🔹@EmanAbio also mentioned that post-quantum accounts will go live on Sui devnet next Monday. Basically, work is already underway to prepare user accounts for potential security threats from quantum computers.
🔹Meanwhile, CCTP V2 is now live, allowing native USDC to move between SUI and 29 other supported blockchains. A useful step for anyone moving stablecoins between networks.
Three different developments, three different areas of crypto, and all happening around the same ecosystem.
What interests me most is how crypto is slowly moving beyond just trading, with more focus on real financial use cases, security, and moving money between networks.
There's still a big gap between building something and getting people to use it, and that's where things will get interesting.
We announced a lot at Basecamp. This landed quietly, exactly one hour before the mass bedwetting over the industry's vast technical failures on PQ. In the debate over whether tech matters, this is exhibit A.
Ok, Sui-native Post-Quantum accounts were merged today and will go live with next Monday’s Devnet release.
And our decision? Zero additional gas. Yes, you read that right. You DO NOT pay more just because you choose to protect your assets against quantum computers.

Probably missed by most. @SuiFoundation joined the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust today, alongside Wells Fargo, Swift and @OpenAssetsInc (who proposed it). The intention is very simple: create an open standard so issuers tokenizing the same asset get compatible objects. In a world where bitcoin represents well over a trillion dollars of mostly idle collateral, tokenized RWAs are…something you will hear more about in 2027. For those who want some light reading, the proposal is below and open for comment.

Sui Foundation just joined @lfdecentralized Trust, the open source home for the future of finance.
We're helping build the standards tokenized assets need to move across institutions.

I wake up, I work for Sui, then I take a nap, I dream of Sui, I wake up again, Sui, then another nap: statistically
-> if evening, I dream of Sui algorithms
-> if night, I dream of Sui AI these days
-> if I don’t sleep at all, I work for Sui
Context for your guess: on July 4th the internal target was 1M TPS. @SuiNetwork hit 6M through programmable tunnels, settling to mainnet on production validators.
For years research reports pegged Sui at 297k. That was a 2023 testnet benchmark from before mainnet launched. July 4th was the first time we re-ran it. Turns out it was higher than people thought.
Basecamp is the same setup, but live, with @CertiK auditing the results. We’ve never made a big deal about TPS because Sui’s architecture doesn’t have a ceiling the way other chains do.
Who’s taking the under against @kostascrypto?
Every record needs a witness.
On July 4, Sui hit 6,086,766 TPS.
On October 7, @kostascrypto runs it again. Live, on the main stage at Sui Basecamp 2026, verified in real time by @CertiK.
Be our witness.
Catching up on an important thing that happened last week. @AftermathFi shipped their v2 perps dex. @osec_io spent twelve weeks across nine repos. Then a second independent audit by @Certora. Both reports are public: docs.aftermath.finance/perpe…
The result: matching and settlement, fully onchain. A perps dex. That’s a big headline in itself. But bookmark this part: under the hood AF is an industrial grade implementation of Sui’s PTBs. What are PTBs? This is super key to the mystery of what makes AF on Sui different. Dig into this part docs.sui.io/develop/transact…
PTBs are a quiet @SuiNetwork superpower that Aftermath zeroed in on immediately and early. nitter.cf/kevinaftermath/status/… (seriously, read this)
In their rebirth, they did some important and foundational plumbing to build an MCP server, with skills files on day one. More on this later.
Congrats @0xairtx @KevinAftermath and Mr. McBeaster on this moment. This team deserves all their success. We are grateful. docs.aftermath.finance
Aftermath Perpetuals V2 is live on mainnet.
15 markets on day one: BTC, ETH, SUI, NVDA, TSLA, GOOGL, gold, silver, WTI crude, the S&P 500, and more. Entirely onchain.
