Even though Fiverr's CEO just said SEO is "going away", he gave my favorite earnings call so far this quarter. "I think that brand loyalty is changing. And yes, it is a very high risk because agents don't care and they don't have brand loyalty." "So you need to optimize for things that they do care about. I'm not going to go into the details for obvious reasons, but it's uncharted territory, much like doing SEO 20-something years ago was uncharted." "Think about Microsoft and their dominance in enterprise software. Now, if they put a lot of emphasis on Copilot as a channel for customers, and Copilot can actually deliver the output, then it's going to be harder to sell enterprise software" If those quotes are interesting to you, I think you'll enjoy the full transcript, which should be easy to find. Not because he has all of the answers, but AI is clearly something he thinks about a ton, so it's pretty thought-provoking and generally rare to hear from a CEO. As always, I've attached my (very) simplified summaries of what companies have said so far. They're short takes from much longer conversations, so please do your own research before making investment or marketing decisions. I love diving into these, so hopefully you find them useful 🙌

i get it - youre going to say its another 'seo is dead' post. but folks, it really is. i've invested 20 years of my adult life perfecting this craft, i don't like it anymore than you do. but that doesn't make it less true. if you sell seo as a service for a living, you have to face the facts - we have a limited window on what we do. adapting to leverage paid channels across all types of search will buy you another year or two. the future of search doesn't look anything like you see it now. it will be a single terminal that lives on each of our devices, leveraging agents to do our bidding (search, personal tasks, work, everything). denying this doesn't make you virtuous - it makes you blockbuster. google doesn't care about your livelihood, google cares about its shareholders and making money. get your bag while you still can.

Is it still worth using keyword tools anymore? Search volume data used to be valuable because if you ranked, you'd get traffic. Now, it's impossible to get the same organic traffic like we used to in the past. I am not saying the data is wrong. I still think Google has a tremendous amount of searches. I just think they are no longer clicking on websites. Searches are either gobbled up by AI or ads.

this is the prompt btw
chatgpt has gotten scarily good at avatar creation. i've tested dozens of platforms (and spent a ton of money) and nothing comes remotely close to the accuracy of a simple chatgpt prompt.

I opened twitter today to find people complaining / cancelling Claude because of "invisible watermarks" in content that it writes. Yeah...that's the reason your business gets no visibility 🙄

I've been glued to my computer the last 3 days learning Claude Cowork + Claude Code...I can't sleep, this is going to be the biggest impact on the agency business model since the dawn of digital. What used to take me MONTHS to build now takes 30 minutes. Advanced attribution reporting, cross channel dashboards, link outreach...all completely automated. By the end of this year there will be ONE PERSON agencies making millions in revenue.

In the coming weeks, we plan to start testing ads in ChatGPT free and Go tiers. We’re sharing our principles early on how we’ll approach ads–guided by putting user trust and transparency first as we work to make AI accessible to everyone. What matters most: - Responses in ChatGPT will not be influenced by ads. - Ads are always separate and clearly labeled. - Your conversations are private from advertisers. - Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise tiers will not have ads.

The greatest gift: Jesus “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17

The one marketing strategy every business ignores (but shouldn't)... Short, engaging videos. That's it. That's the post. While your competition is still writing 500-word blog posts nobody reads, you could be creating 30-second videos that actually convert. ✅ Run them as Facebook/Instagram ads ✅ Watch the leads roll in ✅ Thank me later Stop overthinking it. Start filming.

it's crazy how many agencies are predatory liars in 2025, preying on small business owners who just don't know any better. i'm helping a friend of mine with his dad's HVAC business, he's currently locked into a predatory contract with an agency. he's 60+ years old - an amazing human, awesome at his craft, but doesn't know a ton about technology or the internet. this agency lied to his face and has been stealing from him for YEARS. this agency wrote into the contract that should they part ways, the agency retains ownership of the website, the domain, the content and social profiles. they have charged him $2,000/month for 5 years ($120k in total). after weeks of attempts, i finally lured them onto a call. they provided NO work reports, no analytics report, no lead reports...nothing. i told them we were going to be moving off of their services and they threatened me. they said (direct quote): "if you try and leave you will lose all your rankings. we own the website, content, social profiles and the domain. if you do not continue with payments his website will go down and he will lose everything we have worked for." this is theft. it's disgusting, it's shameful and they should be prosecuted. if you're an agency who does, this shame on you. you're vile.

Are you red pill or blue pill? 🔴 🔵 I'm not talking politics, I'm talking about your marketing. It's not working. You know it. I know it. Your bank account definitely knows it. You're stuck in the matrix of: → Creating content that no one engages with → Competing for organic real estate that diminishes by the day → Throwing money at ads that are not profitable → Watching competitors steal your customers → Getting the same disappointing results month after month But what if I told you there's a way to break free? What if you could create marketing so engaging that your ideal customers stop scrolling and start buying? We've cracked the code on video marketing that actually converts. Not just pretty videos. Not just viral content. Videos that turn viewers into customers. Ready to see how deep the rabbit hole goes?

Absolutely worth three minutes of your time. Dan Lanning with a lot of really poignant thoughts on the Charlie Kirk assassination. "The US could learn a lot from our locker room... You walk in that locker room you've got guys of different races, backgrounds, religions, and you've got a team that loves each other." H/T @MattPrehm for the question
