Ever wonder why great pitchers wear out the toe area of their back cleat? Because most have a “drag line”. The dragline is like a rudder on a boat, directing the head/torso to the target. To maximize a pitcher’s extension, your back toe should stay down into release. Why maximize extension? The closer the release point, the more we work lower in the zone. Get closer, not higher to throw quality strikes! @CashionMitchell @NPAHOU_David @ryland_anders @NPA_Pitching @tomhouse

Congrats Ryland! A great pleasure to watch you grow up and develop. Here’s a video of 2016 vs 2024! “Hat tip” to the other coaches that were involved in your development as well. @NPA_Pitching

Ryland Anders (‘25, TX) has been on cruise control thru 4 scoreless IP. Working 79-81 T82 on the FB with excellent command of the CB. Thus far, 6:2 K:BB & 2 H. Also messing with hitters’ timing using a CH. #JupiterInvitational @PG_Uncommitted @Texas_PG
