It's a mixed bag. Photos, bikes, home brewing, networking, cloudy stuff, and plenty more. Opinions are my own.

Free cancellation on hotel rooms ftw. Finally gave in and cancelled this years bike trip, very glad I had the foresight to book refundable accommodation way back in January.

Once again I have managed to order half the grain I need for the upcoming weekends brewing. It'll be freestyle scotch ale I suppose, borrowing from the odd grain I ordered ages ago but never found a use for.

Getting sufficiently prepared for a lengthy period of self-isolation with a #brewday of a nice, high abv run of what's now one of the house beers. I may not have toilet roll, but at least I'll have Scotch ale.

Any helpful guides out there on how to correct a VCF bring up in progress, when someone fat fingered some details in the deployment spreadsheet? Asking for a friend obviously...

Finished an enjoyable #VCFonVxRail validation build this week. NSX-V to NSX-T migration & vRA. Just kicked off the network prep to start another build on Monday. Stretched vSAN, more NSX, more vRA and external fiber channel storage. Gonna be a busy couple of weeks.

Booking accommodation for Norway is well underway. Including going 40km off the planned route to stay in a B&B on an island, next to a beach, with it's own brewery.

I think it might be time to upgrade the NAS. Writing files to it and it's so bogged down, the admin UI won't load.

Checking doable distances from Calais to various locations in Switzerland can only end one way. With many, many mountain passes.

Much fun with a greenfield VCF 3.9.1 deployment on VxRail in the lab this afternoon. Much fun like it failed about 10 seconds in. Might just end up going back to 3.9.0 and upgrading if the stars don't align tomorrow morning.
Just when I was possibly considering thinking about maybe getting the Cork to Santander ferry, they go and cancel it.
Not often you'd get a pleasant surprise from a motor insurer. Bike insurance, down from €1123 to €623 because I switched from Carole Nash to AXA. Same level of cover, possibly even better cover with AXA.

"hi Ryan, I checked out your profile and think you'd be a great fit for [random sales job]". I see. Was it the last 20 years of me doing everything except sales that led you to make that decision?
