This morning we visited our respected teacher Hadrat Mawlana Bilal Bawa in hospital with Mufti Radaul Haq and my respected father. Al-Hamdulillah his health is significantly better than when we met him a few weeks ago. Allah grant him Afiyah & Shifa. Please continue to make Duaa.

The Large Contemporary Seerah Books & Their Mukhtasars
For Seerah lovers, these are the two contemporary Seerah books in Arabic that I would recommend.
For each of the two, you can get a larger version and you can get a summarised version, so altogether 4 books which are in the pictures below.
1) Al-Seerah al-Nabawiyyah fi Daw' al-Masadir al-Aseelah by Shaykh Mahdi Rizqullah. Over 900 pages but also covers the Shamail and other aspects of the life of the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam.
It's summarised version is called Mukhtasar al-Seerah al-Nabawiyyah. This is a super beneficial book first recommended to me by my good friend Mufti Abdullah Desai. I quickly purchased it in 2023.
When I was in Makkah this past September, I took a taxi specifically to Maktabah al-Rush just to buy the larger version of this book which Mufti Abdullah had not told me about. Alhamdulillah, I purchased it and read it. It is incredibly beneficial. Shaykh Mahdi has also written a third book which is not as big as the large book and not as summarised as the smaller book.
2) Al-Lu'lu' al-Maknun to Seerah al-Nabi al-Ma'mun by Shaykh Musa Ibn Rashid al-Azami. A whopping 4-volume book.
It's summarised version is called Al-Mukhtasar fi'l-Seerah al-Nabawiyyah.
Alhamdulillah all 4 are amazing. I have yet to fully read the larger version of Shaykh Musa's book, but the other 3 are incredible and I hope to make a video on them soon insha'Allah.

Qari Bashir رحمة الله عليه was a pioneer in the current era of making females proficient in the Qurʾān. Shaykh emphasised heavily on the importance of making women experts in Tajwīd & Qirā’āt. Due to this, there are now various expert female Qurʾān teachers teaching other women.
