If you’d have told 15 year old me that Prince William would be giving me an MBE on behalf of the Queen, I’d have told you where to go! I feel so proud and my journey has not been without its challenges — some of them huge where I question my entire existence...

Congratulations to @AndyBurnham, our new Prime Minister.
I've worked with him since I was 21. If I had to describe him in one word: encouraging. The sort of leader who helps put the ladder of opportunity closer to the ground for those who need a leg up. 🧵
Some of the moments I'm proud to have shared with him: launching the first GM Strategy, Pledge 5 (socially distanced, mid-pandemic!), the Young People's Guarantee, the GM Education Summit, the Care Leavers' Guarantee, and my time as his Independent Inequalities Commissioner.

Commiserations to Harry and the team. While you Three Lions may be licking your wounds today, you remain the pride of a nation – and will rise again.

We are completely heartbroken that our dream ends here, but so proud of this group, our staff and you – our amazing fans.
Your support in North America and back home has been nothing short of incredible. Thank you.

Shocking news that Counter Terrorism Police are investigating a credible, serious threat targeted at an Islamic event in Suffolk.
Thanks to the quick action taken by police and the organisers, nobody was hurt.
My message is clear: I will not tolerate any attacks on our Muslim communities, or any form of anti-Muslim hatred.
