Jay-Z Deserves the Super Bowl Halftime Gig
He's one of the greatest rappers of all time, and questions about his suitability for the show are misguided at best.

one of the reasons that i knew i wanted to be a stylist was seeing june ambrose styling jay z. even ‘til this day i admire their dynamic — the ultimate goal.
the rapid designer changes at luxury houses are becoming a bit exhausting. it takes time to build a real vision. if labels keep switching creative directors every two seconds, they’ll be left with zero brand identity. what are they chasing?
every few months this visual resurfaces and reminds me why i do this. styling literally everyone in the video remains a top five career milestone.. it aged beautifully.
as a stylist or any creative really — i think you eventually have to stop and audit the output. its not enough to just possess a point of view; you have to constantly evaluate if that point of view is still sharp enough to add real value to the space.

Please consider tagging indie artists when you post their work. Jeniece is a small designer who’s often knocked off, and it does no good for her if she’s not credited. I’m not talking about in a reply after the post either. Here’s her IG 💙 instagram.com/jesuisjeniece

saw a post that gave a aspiring fashion assistants a one year road map and i just want to say — the job of a stylist is extremely nuanced. you cannot confidently learn what you need within a year.
my advice? enter the space to learn first and foremost.

Build - then rebuild - the cycle of creation is endless and limitless - there is no finish line - no end - only those who endure

As an aside, the idea that fashion is supposed to be *about* disruption or excitement season after season is disastrous to what fashion actually is…which is dress and aesthetics that reflects our time and place. Fashion is not supposed to be a series of forgettable viral moments
