Writing a design system for people and writing one for agents are different jobs.
People fill the gaps with taste.
Agents fill them with the average of everything they've seen.
Every "use when appropriate" in your docs is now a coin flip.
a skeleton that doesn't match the real layout is just a delayed layout shift.
the page still jumps when content lands, it just jumps later.
boring fix: make the placeholder the exact shape of the thing it's waiting for.
last week I spent way too long on scrollbars.
getting them to show properly across different components and pages.
the fix ended up being 3 lines in the global css:

I'd push it further. A resume says what you did. A website shows how you decide.
The hover states, the 404, what happens when you hit back. That's the part a template can't fake.
I rebuilt the menu on samet.works. A list of links turned into a small place.
The blue dot flies to the page you landed on. The label slides aside to meet it. A shimmer passes once over the selected word, then it stays blue. Hover and leave both make a tiny tick.
No audio files. The sound is synthesized in the browser. On the portfolio page the menu opens upward, liquid, from a single icon.

A menu should feel like motion, not a column of text.
Almost every vibe-coded launch I see tells the same story.
"I tried [product], didn't love it, and thought I could do better."
Or: "I couldn't find what I wanted, so I built it myself."
That's a founder story. It's not a customer problem.
Building got cheap. A working app takes a weekend now. So "why I built it" stopped being a differentiator, because everyone has the same answer.
Almost nobody goes back to the root problem:
1. Who exactly has this problem?
2. What do they do today instead?
3. What does that workaround cost them in time, money, or mistakes?
4. Why would they switch to you?
If you can't answer #3, you didn't find a problem. You found a preference.
Being annoyed with a product is a starting point, not a positioning.
Marketing your own irritation attracts people who are mildly curious. Marketing a problem you understand deeply attracts people who will pay to make it go away.
