No way!
They just built a GTA-inspired game with their own engine in 8 days (A team of 8) 💀
A whole 100 km² map of bangkok using their own game engine
and apparently, they built the engine to work with AI agents too
The fact that we're getting to a point where small teams can attempt things like this is crazy lol

Man this is so sickkkk 🤯
Someone reverse engineered Ray-Ban Meta glasses to play chess at 3000+ Elo.
The AI reads the board and shows the best move in AR, right in front of your eyes.
No human has ever reached 3000 Elo. Getting there takes 20,000+ hours of grinding.
Years of study, down to 0 seconds.

Shigeru Miyamoto (Nintendo) received Japan's prestigious Order of Culture and used the press conference to talk about generative AI, what 'creating' actually means when tools automate execution, and why Kyoto (not Silicon Valley) produced Nintendo's design philosophy.
famitsu.com/article/202610/9…
The Order of Culture (文化勲章) is one of Japan's highest honors, previously given to film directors like Akira Kurosawa and writers like Yasunari Kawabata. Japan basically put games in the same category as film and literature.
He talks about generative AI in a way I have not seen from many working creators. He distinguishes between "creating" and "working." Creation is the hard part: composition, direction, deciding what should exist. Work is execution, and work is satisfying in a way that can fool you into thinking you have created something.
He says even before AI, tools have always automated technique, from typewriters to desktop publishing. What gets exposed when that happens is whether you had vision and intent, or whether you were just good at execution. AI is doing the same thing at a larger scale, and he finds this encouraging.
"The scary thing is becoming satisfied with the work and mistakenly thinking you created something."
People told him for decades that he should go outside of Japan and be in a "global hub". He stayed in Kyoto anyway. His work became more successful overseas than at home. The reason, he says, is that the person on the other side of the screen is human, regardless of geography. Deep local rootedness kept him anchored in concrete experience rather than trend-following.

A masterpiece of tweetcraft
My experience partying all night at Berghain in Berlin made me think of how we're lacking this experience in the San Francisco tech scene. We can literally become the coolest, most tasteful social scene on Earth if we had our version of Berghain, but better. So let's build it. The best aspect of Berhain is how they select who gets in. The club has a vibe and atmosphere, and if you aren't wearing the right clothes or have the right demeanor, you don't get in. That's how you cultivate a tasteful crowd. We can improve on this by only letting in high agency, talented operators in the tech scene who can still pull off dope outfits, so no geeks. SF is in dire need of late night venues, and Berghain goes until 8am. That's a little too crazy for high net worth operators who are changing the world so we could do something like 2am. Berghain also is kinda dark and in a weird building so we'd put the club in a SoMa corporate office that we convert to speakeasy or barcade vibe. Maybe add a quiet area for people to bring their laptops and work? I honestly feel like we're improving on the Berghain form here, especially by swapping out the crowd of weird partiers in inappropriate clothes (or lack there of) with insanely cracked founders and engineers. I'm super stoked about this idea, SF tech could really run the dopest parties on the planet.

Claude isn't a great musician (yet)
But this kind of video would be unfathomable to make even 6 months ago with previous LLMs
