I bought a Lenovo IdeaCentre Mini on Amazon for £300, 32GB or RAM, Snapdragon X and 512GB or storage; bargain.
Reason I bought it is to see what AI story on Windows is.
Will drive in my home office, but so far, pleasantly surprise with the performance.
don't know how the Nvidia chip compares to the M5 Pro/Max but between Surface Max and MacBooK Pro @ 128GB RAM there is a £2K in price, why?
Cool things built because you can edition.cnn.com/travel/willi…
funny to see Apple doing samies this year:
- Foldables
- Touch Laptops
- Home screen devices
whilst Siri remains been awful and their AI is nowhere (still 2 years in)
for the first year (or 2nd really) I don't feel like buying any of their new products.
Thought of giving @MicrosoftEdge a try on Android as alternative to @arcinternet and the copilot button doesn't work. They why have it?
Moved to the Beta version and @MSFTCopilot now works.
Don't know who make these type of decisions but I am sure this what makes you realise there is mayne no one who cares behind it.
If @elonmusk had the guts to put Ukrainian lives in jeopardy for whatever the reason he tells himself, then why not have the balls to also own all the unnecessary deaths of innocent people his decisions brought? Be a men and own them (you can’t hide forever)
Exclusive: President Trump called Elon Musk and asked him to reverse the Starlink restrictions on Ukraine. The system was working more normally Thursday. on.wsj.com/4ywvG3f
They should do like they did with Maps, allow thirdparty agents to take over whilst they catch up, Gemini on Android works flawlessly most of the time, but the fact I can use other agents is great.
Apple holding everyone hostage to a shit implementation on great hardware is a crime.
Apple is a LITTLE out of touch with the state of Siri.
Siri is just plain terrible.
My wife refuses to use it.
I keep trying it as a "lunatic fringe" AI fantatic and it keeps letting me down.
Simple things like setting a timer, checking in on that timer, are just plain broken.
You've got to test the software.
Siri is still terrible, even with Siri AI, it has a new set of problems that make it just plain dumb, slow, and frustrating to use.

The russian plan to encircle Donbas is completely fucked. Ukrainians sent waves of ground drones into their positions and blew them all up. Totally ingenious
Meta and Apple collaborating was not on this year’s bingo
Muse Spark Open -- weights releasing today -- runs great on new Mac Studios thanks to work with @johnternus and Apple.
Guessing this was originally meant for the Apple car and now repurposed to the kitchen. No wonder it runs on CarPlay infrastructure
I wonder what is @elonmusk and Trump’s motivation to leave a country like Ukraine exposed like this?
So much for wanting to do what’s right.

BREAKING: 🇵🇱🇮🇱 Israel spied on all of Poland using software—allegedly intended for catching criminals—that it had sold to the country
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has called the Pegasus spyware scandal a "crime against the state," accusing the previous PiS government of exposing sensitive data on thousands of Polish citizens, including opposition figures and independent prosecutors, to Israeli company NSO Group without oversight.
Tusk said Poland spent over PLN 60 million on the spyware, including PLN 25 million from a fund for crime victims and over PLN 30 million paid to the Israeli supplier.
He said Polish intelligence confirmed that Israeli entities controlled the system, while its contract restricted surveillance of Russian, Belarusian, and North Korean numbers but permitted monitoring of Polish, French, and German citizens.
He called the affair one of Poland's biggest scandals since the fall of communism and vowed to hold those responsible accountable.
Would love to hear @nikitabier take on it. Not like he didn’t have the chance
Woah @ZelenskyyUa has done more for the bot problem on X than @elonmusk has. Hope he's on payroll.
Me pregunto cuántos chavestias digitales murieron con el ataque a los data centers Rusos también
Apparently Russian servers have been hit by a Ukrainian strike and immediately massive online hard right chatter has collapsed.
This particular chatter was in support of Germany’s AFD, their equivalent to Reform, but similar patterns are being seen in hard right movements everywhere, including the UK.
If anyone needed anymore evidence that Russia are driving a massive wave of hard right propaganda in Europe, this is it.
So, all you “patriots” - you’ve been duped by Russia, and you are about as far from patriotic as anyone can be. You are easily brainwashed though. This is how propaganda works.
