Casemiro - 2025/26 - 9 Goals
Šeško - 2025/26 - 12 Goals
⚽️ 21 goals replaced by no one this season and that is on the owners. How can anyone expect Carrick to repeat levels of last season?

Not signing a striker when your only striker has been out for the whole of pre-season with a persistent injury was the greatest act of idiocy and self-harm by the Manchester United hierarchy and emblematic of their hopeless reign
🚨 Confirmed: Benjamin Sesko out until at least January through shin injury.
Period of rest is required so striker is fully healed.

Michael Carrick has attracted a lot of deserved sympathy but he has still not accounted for how an improved squad (Lost Casemiro, but gained Baleba, Tielemans, Santos and Rashford) has become so bad so quickly this season and fallen from 3rd to 16th

The fact that Eddie Howe is even in the conversation to manage Manchester United is such a damning indictment on those running the club. Unimaginative, unambitious, weak and reeking of cowardice because they know a stronger character would call them out on their incompetence.
Eddie Howe would be the most underwhelming appointment as Manchester United manager for nearly 50 years since Dave Sexton?

United should sack Carrick and then immediately appoint him as interim manager to sort this mess out

It should seriously frighten United fans that Wilcox and Berrada will now choose Manchester United’s new manager. After Ten Hag, Amorim and now Carrick, they are serial failures, out of their depth and clueless about what is needed.

Man United with one of the worst ownership combos: American capitalists piling debt onto the club and a right-wing British billionaire out of his depth.

Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox should have no future at Manchester United. They have spectacularly failed at building a squad or appointing a manager and should be replaced.
If this is the reaction to the Como humiliation then Carrick is finished. United have been appalling again and are constantly giving the ball away

All the chaos at United starts and ends with the ownership. We all know this. Everything in between - the standards dropping, the football falling apart, the culture eroding - has just been the inevitable fallout. Until that changes, nothing will.

To suggest 20 years ago that AC Milan would start a game second favourites against Bournemouth and lose it 3-0 would have been absurd to the point of comical. There is no bigger evidence of how football has transformed than this astonishing scoreline.

Carrick came in, got the players to buy in, did a great job.
Players got convinced to stick around that may have been looking to leave as they got assurances that the club would back the manager and invest in the summer.
Window ends with net 1 extra midfielder and Rashford who doesnt want to be there.
Big personalities and leaders feel like theyve been misled, manager feels like he's been let down, and the energy around the club falls off.
Its not rocket science. Carrick may not be the solution, but he's not the problem.
Rotten.
