From one acre of cassava to a growing herd of 21 goats: In Pakwach District, MUST-PEDC documented how a PDM beneficiary harvested approximately 120 bags of cassava, earning UGX 1.2 million from stems and UGX 2 million from roots. The proceeds supported the purchase of land and livestock, school fees, construction materials and savings. Once dependent on a modest income as a security guard, the beneficiary is now building a diversified agricultural enterprise demonstrating how productive financing, training and reinvestment can strengthen household livelihoods and create lasting economic opportunity.
