I end every session by listening at barely audible volume for a few minutes. Whatever I can still hear is what actually carries the song or beat
Producers: do you rather reach for presets or do you prefer building most of your sounds from scratch?
I love mixing trap songs but I also love mixing live band recordings cause my approach for those two types of mix is entirely different
I'm still taking on a few more mixing + mastering projects before the year ends. If your song's been sitting unfinished, send it over and let's get it out

She鈥檚 good trust me. Vocals will be crisp and clear.
How I start every mix: I listen to the song without touching anything, figure out what it's supposed to feel like, then fix whatever gets in the way of that. Adding plugins comes last
What's the most annoying thing about working with a mixing engineer or producer? I'm genuinely asking so I can learn here and do it better
I do studio mixing and live sound. Hearing songs on headphones and in a loud room taught me a lot about what actually holds up. I take that into every mix

Do you need mixing + mastering for Hip-Hop/Trap, R&B/Afro or post production for your live recordings?
If your song is almost there but doesn't sound like the artists you're comparing it to, let me know here or via DM and I am happy to take a listen! 馃檶

Artists: export your beat or session without the limiter and enough headroom on the master bus. Your mix engineer needs the headroom more than you need the loudness
