i hate that i'm doing this again, but i might lose my best friend. he's severely ill again after being very happy the last few months. i don't know what will happen but i want to be optimistic. this is the last i'll ask for.

...he's gone. socks is gone. a bit after hospitalizing him i got a call from the vet basically saying that he was as fucked as he could possibly be, with no possibility of improvement. he was euthanized tonight with me present. i'll need some time. thank you all for your support.
