It’s called Apollo — a free, local-first app for people who take their music taste a little too seriously. 🎧 Rate every song you listen to 💿 Track albums, artists & your listening backlog 📊 Build a permanent, searchable record of your taste 🔥 Filter your highest-rated music into Spotify playlists ✨ Soon: generate playlists with natural language + get recommendations based on your actual ratings The idea is simple: Spotify knows what you listen to. Apollo knows what you actually think about it. And instead of turning that data into another SaaS subscription, Apollo keeps it on your machine. No subscription. No premium tier. No proprietary cloud database holding your ratings hostage. Your music taste belongs to you. I’m building Apollo in public, and on September 30, 2026, I’m open-sourcing the entire thing. Claude outages are always so unpredictable! On one of my machines I keep hitting the 529 error and on another my task is running with no interruptions. @ClaudeDevs hope the issue is resolved soon!

I love working on Apollo late into the night 🦉 It absolutely helps that testing the app requires listening to my music library! Sometimes the music is so good that I lose focus. . . Apollo is a WIP application that tracks your music tastes. It will be free + open source :)
