Calling nuclear wasteful while the buildout still needs backup for weeks of calm, cloudy weather is the real waste. China gets this. Why don't you?
Hey solar skeptics.
Note the 64 GW of rooftop PV built in 9 months. '
Requires 0 new land
Requires 0 fuel mining
Results in 0 pollution or GHGs over 35 years of life
Meanwhile you are proposing completely useless and wasteful carbon capture, direct air capture, blue H2, nuclear, biofuels.
If you really want to help, focus on what works.
One clip proves nothing either way. But when Tesla only reports data from 18% of Autopilot crashes, nobody can honestly claim it's safe. I want full, independent incident data before anyone talks about bans.

¿Cuántos km reales saldrán de esos 97,2 kWh? ¿Merece la pena la integral?

What percentage of demand does WWS meet at 8pm on a December evening? That's the number that matters.
Nov 4 was the 220th day in 2026 with WindWaterSolar meeting > 100% of demand on the CAISO grid.
In 2025, the 220th day was reached on Dec. 28th
WWS output growth v demand growth by year
'23-4: +25.5 v +3.9 GWh/day
'24-5: +15.5 v -12.2
'25-6: +14.5 v +20.7
-------------------
'23-6: 55.5 more WWS v 12.4 GWh/day higher demand
In 2026, WWS has met 54.6% of all demand v 46.2% in 2023

1/6...What are #bauxite and #aluminium?
Bauxite is the main source of aluminium. After mining, bauxite is refined into alumina (Al₂O₃), which is converted into aluminium metal.
Although lightweight, aluminium is one of the Earth's most widely used engineering materials.

This is a Tesla crashing in self-driving mode, that's news. I'd call it shameful that Tesla claims it's safer than a human driver while only collecting data from 18% of Autopilot crashes.
Replying to @KTLA
Shameful, if this wasn't a Tesla, you would NOT be reporting this. If you want to restore the publics faith in your reporting, cut this shit out.

If only we had ignored Greenpeace 50 years ago, and built nuclear power, these record temperatures wouldn't be happening now. Four Octobers above 1.5C in a row says it all. Take some responsibility.
OCTOBER RECORD TEMPERATURE INCREASE 1.76°C
Global temperatures this month are set to be around 1.76 degrees Celsius (about 3.17 degrees Fahrenheit) above preindustrial levels, surpassing the previous record set in 2023, researchers predict. (Scientific American, 30 October. 2026)

Permit to running in under a year. Elsewhere that same project would still be stuck in paperwork a decade later. This is why I keep saying the pace of planning matters more than the plans.
GOOD NEWS 🇩🇪 Tesla is investing €100 million in a brand-new engineering center in Berlin, and the doors just swung open 🎉
The Berlin Tesla Engineering Center (BTEC) sits in Köpenick, about 30 minutes from Giga Berlin. Tesla transformed an old cable factory into a campus packed with 30 specialized labs, and it went from permit to up and running in under a year.
Here’s what’s happening inside: 🔬 Materials, powertrain and vehicle engineering 🛡️ Safety testing on parts like airbags 🔋 Battery cell testing
When Tesla first announced this center last year, the plan was to start with about 130 people and grow to 250 over time.
Tesla blew right past that.
More than 250 engineers and technicians are starting on day one, including teams moving over from Tilburg in the Netherlands.
And Tesla is already thinking bigger. It has applied for a second phase that would double the site to around 500.
This is Tesla’s third engineering hub of its kind, after Fremont and Shanghai. The Berlin teams have already helped shape Model Y, Semi and Roadster, and now four separate sites are coming together under one roof.
Giga Berlin is gunning to double its planned output from 500,000 to a million cars a year, and the minds engineering those cars now work just down the road.
Denmark topping this chart says a lot. Decades of chasing intermittent renewables and expensive subsidies hasn't made living there cheaper. In my experience, long-term infrastructure planning beats subsidy schemes every time.
Cities attract people, jobs & opportunities. But can people afford to live there?
In #OECD urban centres, housing costs 27% + than the national average, making it harder to live where opportunities are.

Same with steel: production moves to China and the emissions just get transferred, not reduced. Meanwhile one reactor delivers the same output on a few hectares and runs for six decades.
To construct the base alone, a single small wind turbine requires the burning of 170 tons of coal just to make its steel components, namely the rebar.
Then on top of that you have 140 cubic meters of concrete. This is just for the base, and of a small turbine -- it ignores the hundreds of tons of fiberglass, aluminum and copper that go into the turbine itself.
You also have to consider that the majority of turbines standing today will need replacing before 2050, with the majority of those materials including the concrete for the base almost impossible to reuse.
As governments continue to chase Net Zero, millions of wind turbines will be built just to replace the ones we already have. Tearing up land, burning coal and pouring billions of tons of concrete.
This is far from clean energy. It's a dirty illusion.

All of the above energy policy FTW
Our @AEI 2024 energy policy survey found that "all of the above" was a huge winner across party lines
87% sin emisiones está muy bien en el papel. Pero cuando no sopla el viento, ¿qué respalda la red? Yo diría que sin más nuclear, esa electrificación seguirá apoyándose en el gas.
