π Sapphire Malawi Participates in MCLD Tools Orientation Workshop in Zomba, Malawi π²πΌ
Sapphire International Malawi was proud to participate in the MCLD Tools Orientation Workshop in Zomba as a member of the Movement for Community-Led Development (MCLD).
The workshop focused on strengthening our understanding of how to report activities effectively and, most importantly, ensuring that communities remain at the centre of every project we implement. We believe that sustainable development happens when communities take the lead in identifying their needs, making decisions and driving activities that create lasting change. π€
Following the orientation, the MCLD leadership invited Sapphire Malawi to share progress on preparations for our Community Action Climate Campaign scheduled for 7th November 2026.
Representing Sapphire Malawi, the Country Manager presented the progress made so far and shared the proposed event budget. The MCLD team provided valuable technical support to help ensure the successful implementation of the campaign. Feedback on the proposed budget is expected following consultation with MCLD Headquarters in the USA.
Together, we continue to strengthen community leadership and promote locally driven solutions for a more sustainable future. π±π
