Yeah Elon is quite literally an evil person
Elon Musk took a $40,000 username from a guy who had owned it for 16 years.
He paid him absolutely nothing.
Not even a dollar.
Instead, he was offered a T-shirt and a tour of Twitter’s headquarters.
This is the story of Gene X. Hwang the first @X username
2007
- photographer from San Francisco
- co-founder of Orange Photography
- registers @x on Twitter
- keeps the username for 16 years
over the years
account grows to ~53,000 followers
receives offers of up to $40,000 for the handle
But he refuses to sell
2014
- hackers steal his x account
- Twitter helps him recover it
July 23, 2023
- Elon Musk announces Twitter will become X
- Gene is in Canada playing in a pinball tournament
He has no idea what’s coming
July 25, 2023
- Twitter officially becomes X
- the company wants x
- Gene receives an email from Twitter support
“Your user handle is affiliated with X Corp.”
his username is taken and gets a new one @x12345678998765
what X offers him
- company merchandise
- exclusive tour of X headquarters
- meeting with the management team
$0.
Gene even asks if he can have the old blue Twitter bird sign being removed from headquarters.
they say no.
October 2025
X launches its Handle Marketplace
rare usernames can cost $2,500 to over $1 MILLION
users must maintain a paid subscription
lose the subscription, potentially lose the handle
the same company that took x without paying its owner now charges people for access to rare usernames.
16 years building an identity.
$40,000 in offers rejected.
and all he got was an offer of merchandise and an office tour.
BROTHER.

Many, many thanks for confirming the history Scots keep explaining. Britain was and is England. Scotland wasn’t annexed and added to English domains until 1707. It had no slave trade of its own. English law applied across all its colonies
Dear UK patriots, it's very okay to show your patriotism towards your nation; however, it's expedient to know some facts about your nation. Between 1562 and 1807, Britain became one of the most dominant slave-trading nations in human history, transporting an estimated 3.1 million enslaved African people across the Atlantic. Rather than capturing most individuals directly, British participation relied on a deeply organised, state-backed economic and military network operating along the West African coast.
The British systematically participated in slavery within Africa through several distinct methods:
1. Constructing "Slave Factories" and Coastal Forts
British traders did not typically venture inland. Instead, they established permanent, heavily fortified commercial bases on the West African coast known as "slave factories”.
2. Fueling Regional Conflict with Manufactured Goods
British merchants operationalised the first leg of the Triangular Trade by shipping manufactured commodities from British industrial hubs directly to West African ports. These goods were deliberately chosen to incentivise local rulers and middlemen to scale up warfare and raids to capture more people.
•Weapons and Gunpowder: Massive quantities of firearms from Birmingham and gunpowder from Lancaster were traded to specific African kingdoms, drastically escalating interethnic warfare and regional instability.
• Luxury Commodities: British textiles, Manchester cottons, brassware, and glass beads imported from Europe were used as direct currency to purchase human beings.
3. Royal and State-Sponsored Monopolies
The British state actively institutionalised human trafficking as national policy. British monarchs, including Charles II and James II, chartered the Royal African Company (RAC) in 1672. Led and funded by the royal family, politicians, and early financiers of the Bank of England, the RAC held a legal monopoly over British trade along the West African coast, branding captive Africans with the company's initials ("DY" for Duke of York).
4. Port City Operations and Logistics
Wealthy merchants and ship captains based out of major British ports—primarily Liverpool, London, and Bristol—outfitted thousands of highly specialised vessels. These ships sailed to Africa, anchored near coastal factories or traded directly from the decks with African middlemen, loaded human cargo under horrific conditions, and executed the deadly "Middle Passage" to colonies in the Americas.
The British slave trade was legally banned by Parliament via the Slave Trade Act in 1807, though ownership of enslaved people in British colonies remained legal until the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833.
If you want to explore this further, let me know if you would like to look closer at:
• The specific African kingdoms that partnered with or resisted British traders
• How the profits from the trade fuelled the British Industrial Revolution
• The conditions faced by captives inside the coastal slave forts

When other energy-rich nations are supporting their citizens and investing in their public services, why should Scotland put up with soaring energy bills and a £650 million cut from Westminster?
The only way to reach our full potential is with the full powers of independence.

The claim that the modern State of Israel is somehow the fulfillment of King David’s kingdom does not withstand basic historical or Torah-based scrutiny.
It is a political invention, not a religious continuation.

haley stevens is not the spokesperson for democrats, she’s not the spox for jewish people or black people. she’s a self interested striver who’s weirdly obsessed with israel and has been paid handsomely for this strange obsession. this race is about solving the affordability crisis, defending democracy, fighting back against the racialized violence all communities have faced since trump came into power and serving michigan. haley and mike rogers serve trump, and trump serves the epstein class. the choice is clear.
