$ASTS Buying the dip transparency. Thought we'd see a bounce after the morning dip so bought calls and sold them when the bounce came. Short term move, short term profit.
$ASTS Throwing out another meaningless tidbit...when you're in a corporation that leverages RSU's as a way to compensate staff over and above their normal comp, a large decrease in the stock price can have a big impact on morale. One saving grace is the fact that you'll get a lot more shares in your next grant, all else being equal. This has an outsized impact on morale when the stock recovers....FWIW.
$ASTS I keep hearing "never bet against Elon". Do people actually think that there will be a "winner take all" in mobile? Really? It has and never will happen. There will be multiple players no matter how well Elon and SpaceX execute. What Elon has done is explain to everyone that the direct to device marketplace is worth investing in. The market is enormous or he wouldn't be spending time with it.
I remember hearing about a meeting between a Ticketmaster exec and Apple execs when I was at Ticketmaster. The quote that came from an Apple exec after a pitch meeting was "listen, we get multi-million dollar ideas pitched every day, but we have time and resources for a limited number of ideas to go and execute. We're looking for those that transform a market place." (paraphrased). SpaceX isn't going to waste their time in this space if they do not believe it's going to provide a strong return. AND there will NEVER be a US or Global monopoly allowed in this sector or any other like it....period.
$ASTS This 8K filing may be just general housekeeping, however, it could also be related to M&A discussions and a way to lock in your CFO and/or give them confidence they will survive the merger (or get paid but recent change of control docs may cover that).
