oh my fucking god i tried to scrap a light to replace it and i accidentally scrapped the entire house
i donβt really keep up with dbd content creators, but i am so appreciative of the creators that are calling out bhvr and/or stepping away from the game. thank you for having a backbone
Uninstall dbd, do not buy Terrifier or whatever sparkly new skin they wave at us until they DO something. Do not reward this lackluster behaviour.
Huge love and respect to creators who stepped from the program aswell, I appreciate how difficult that would have been.

Here's Asmongold encouring his community and like-minded people to continue to hurl slurs at the Dead by Daylight community! This is what happens when you let people like Burnt Peanut into your game @DeadbyDaylight! You hurt sales and you hurt your playerbase
Asmongold reacts to the Dead by Daylight developers folding under 0 pressure after promoting TheBurntPeanut
"So basically Dead by Daylight promoted TheBurntPeanut and gave him a bunch of skins and everything in the game. People got mad about it and Dead by Daylight was like, we can handle this. We don't care. It's not a big deal."
"What these people have done is collectively gotten together to chimp out over a peanut being accepted by the Dead by Daylight developers. Everybody is crying about this. It's another example of these people that get together and they collectively bully a developer by crashing out on social media for a couple of days, and they make a developer do something differently."
"So they folded under zero pressure. That's basically what happened. This is why I think that we need to be so aggressive against these people. If we're not aggressive against these people, these people will dominate the conversations and they will define the culture because they do jump out, they do crash out."
"Every single hostile, negative, psychotic comment that you guys make, as long as it's not encouraging violence, I'm pretty much in favour of. You guys need to come out and be a lot more outspoken about this, because unless you want to have every single community run by performative drag queens. What these people really care about is control and power. And they are bullies. And until they are made to stop, they will not stop."
"There is no world in which you can coexist with these people. You either have to take the culture back out of their hands that they are trying to define, or you should expect them to define every aspect of your life and culture and then tell you how you need to behave. These people are genuinely a malignant cancer into any community and any area that they touch. They get together and they bully a company like this, and then the company capitulates to them, and then it creates a feedback loop."
last thing iβll tweet about dbd in general for a while: if you have anything on your profile or in your tweets that hints that you play dbd, please set your replies to followers only. some other dumbass streamer has gotten himself involved and is encouraging his viewers to harass

Please, if youβre serious about making your voice heard to dead by daylight. Uninstall the game. Iβm so serious. When the pop up asking why come up tell them itβs because of their actions! They will have to address it losing player counts.
dividing your community and isolating the community that has stood with you for a decade for the sake of a snotty content creator that doesnβt even like your fucking game is diabolical
βsorry you guys have been called slurs and been sent threats all weekend, but please donβt be mean to the person who caused it!β ππππππππππ
This weekend, a Dead by Daylight team member awarded in-game content and currency to a creator streaming our game. Although it is not unusual to unlock content to give creators discovering DbD a chance to have a sneak peek at available content, this decision was made without receiving appropriate approvals. Furthermore, the team member's subsequent comments and conduct do not align with Dead by Daylightβs core values.
When concerns about this decision became apparent during the stream, we should have responded by looking into these concerns, not dismissing them.
Unfortunately, weβve now seen the fallout of this decision unfolding in many conversations across the DbD community. We appreciate and stand with our communityβs willingness to ensure our shared values are being upheld, at all times, regardless of popularity, and weβre heartbroken at the inflammatory language now being directed towards our community.
At the same time, threatening employees will never be acceptable, and weβre asking everyone to stop engaging with these posts.
We apologize to our community for letting you down. We have already begun reviewing our internal processes to prevent an incident like this from happening again.
the dbd anniversary event being all about β10 more years of dbdβ and then theyβve continuously shot themselves in the foot since then and actively pushed people away from the game all together
