Hate crime is becoming a concept that means criticism of power.
It's pretty shocking to learn today that the Toronto Police Hate Crimes Unit is investigating bike lane protesters. And that those protesters have been hit with restrictive release conditions banning them from virtually all protest. I am glad the @cjc_TO is on the case!

A real honour to receive the Meritorious Service Cross today from @GGCanada and @CDS_Canada_CEMD. Grateful some of my family could attend as it was a team effort. Listening to the stories of the fellow recipients was inspiring for me.
