Duncan Sheik, who had a pop smash with “Barely Breathing” in the 1990s but then found his biggest success with the long-running stage musical “Spring Awakening,” has died. He was 56.
The death was confirmed by his mother, who revealed he died of organ failure. Sheik had previously been reported to be in critical condition in a Manhattan hospital.

Hoy en la mañana me enteré que estaba hospitalizado, creí firmemente que se recuperaría.
"Barely Breathing" me acompaño en los 90's y me gustaba tanto, que me aprendí la letra.
Su composición me ayudó en una reconciliación.
