I’m the last of 8 kids. 4 boys, 4 girls. Two of my brothers have passed away. Though he is closest in age, I was never particularly close to the remaining brother, though my first trip to TX was to visit him. Found out a few weeks ago he has vascular dementia. Visited when in Chas last week. Forgets what he’s talking about mid-sentence. He knows it and it frustrates him. It’s cruel. I hugged him as we were leaving. Can’t remember last time I hugged him. Makes me sad. Getting old sucks. Don’t wait. Give hugs.
