You got rid of speed cameras, you mobbed up pig.
My condolences go out to the family, loved ones and coworkers of the Toronto traffic agent who was killed while on the job at Thorncliffe Park earlier today. It’s a sober reminder of the sacrifices and risks traffic agents face every day while keeping our communities safe.

Calgary 🇨🇦 stopped fluoridating its water in 2011. By 2018/19, tooth decay in chidren went up. Removing had no health benefits Calgary has now put it back.

Hallway medicine, EMS stretcher medicine, and chair medicine remains a serious problem in Ontario ERs. Premier Ford promised to eliminate it. Instead it exploded under his leadership. Hospital underfunding remains a serious problem. By @AidanChamandy thetrillium.ca/news/health/o…

Someone who gets it....

Trump promised to “Drain the Swamp.” Then he made $2 billion off the presidency. He promised to “Make America Healthy Again.” Then he took healthcare from 15 million people. He promised “No More Wars.” Then he attacked Iran. Say NO to Trump. Say NO to a Republican Congress.

This is astonishing and quite damning. Kudos again to @DavidWCochrane. This wasn’t what anyone was expecting to hear.
Cleveland-Cliffs CEO: I bought Stelco because I could not afford anymore having Stelco flooding the market here in the United States to the detriment of my own company. David Cochrane: Am I understanding you correctly there? It was a defensive acquisition?

Doug Ford gets away with his disparaging comments accusing the Opposition of engaging in “gutter politics” when challenged to recall the legislature in August. This is now entrenched in the disrespectful norm coming from Doug Ford’s govt. Again, zero consequences for Ford. Shame.

So Jared Kushner is found by Dutch intelligence to have taken nearly a billion dollars in bribes. Why is no one reporting on this

The more I think about it, the weirder it is that Doug Ford actually made Ontario more dangerous. The vices more available, the highways faster, the bike lanes gone, healthcare workers fired.

A report came out yesterday saying Ontario doesn’t have enough nurses and we have the lowest nurse/patient ratio. Meanwhile every week the Ford govt literally lays off hundreds of nurses at [insert hospital here]. It’s not that our system doesn’t work, our govt doesn’t work.
We've become immune to reports like this, but we shouldn't be. A man with blood clots in his lungs was put in a storage closet, and his is one of thousands of similar stories. I genuinely don't know what it will take for bipartisan consensus that the status quo doesn't work

The worsening crisis of hospital overcrowding is totally solvable and isn’t because of publicly funded healthcare. The problem is we haven’t strongly enough demanded an end to hallway care. Docs have demanded change to no avail. @mattgurney
As I discussed on the last Line podcast, about a year ago, at probably hour 14 or so of an ER visit, I watched as nurses realized that an old man they’d been walking past on a stretcher in a Toronto hospital hallway had died. Not sure how long the death had gone unnoticed.

Rotten government from the top down. Ford ok’d everything and told them to shut up about it.
How many Ontario teachers were able to charge $22k to tax payers and sleep at a luxury hotel 6km from their homes because they wanted to help their wife with "sleep training"? This is truly absurd! @StanChoMPP is a symbol for all that is wrong and corrupt with this govt. #onpoli

The misery in those hallways - the despair, the suffering, the blatant disregard for the sanctity of the person - I cannot forgive. He has promised us not once but four times that he was laser focused on solving the problem and he has achieved nothing. Disgraceful
NEW: We obtained internal government data showing Ontario’s hallway health care numbers hit unprecedented highs in the last two years, with over 2,000 patients treated in hallways on an average day last winter 🧵 thetrillium.ca/news/health/o…

A man in Ottawa with a dozen blood clots in his lungs was put in a hospital storage closet because there was no bed. How can we accept that? Doug Ford promised to end hallway health care, but it’s only gotten worse. It’s time to end the wait times by bringing in safe staffing ratios and fixing the bed shortage, so every Ontarian gets a real bed when they need one.

Trump is the most dangerous president in our history. He's an authoritarian who does not believe in the rule of law. This election is not about Ds vs. Rs. It's about whether we maintain a rubber-stamp GOP Congress that aids and abets Trump — or finally hold him accountable.
