Repeat after me: POLICY IS MORE IMPORTANT than gender. PROFICIENCY IS MORE IMPORTANT than color. THE DESIRE TO WORK FOR THE PEOPLE IS MORE IMPORTANT than sexual preference or identity. WE NEED LEADERS. NOT token representatives. – at Colorado, USA

Hey @Avalanche! My daughter is legally blind + loves hockey: she's @ the game tonight w/ 3 of her friends. She's in Sect 322, row 14, seats 13-15. She can't see a thing from up there but she's having a good time. Can you take her some merch 😁 make scene on the screen? ❤️ Dad.

The modern evangelical movement has been very clear in their actions: no one is more disappointed in Jesus Christ than they are. He's a no-show socialist, who clearly has his priorities jacked by an overdeveloped sense of humanist equity.

They turned to Trump because he's the truest representation of what the evangelical church actually worships: white patriarchal supremacy, rich by any means necessary. They're atheists aplenty & their religion is entirely material.

100% this. Someone thought they had the photographer at "but all you do is push a button, bro." These are the same people that don't understand why the moon is so small on their iPhone... And why there are no stars in photos of our oblate spheroid planet.
Comparing the intricate skills of photography, which demand years of practice in mastering framing, lighting, timing, and post-processing, to someone with minimal artistic background simply instructing a sophisticated, derivative AI to create art at a mere command, seems quite an oversimplification.

We're sorry we called you on your blatant racism. Here's $25mil. We regret our actions and hope these reparations mitigate the trauma you so clearly endured. What. The hell.

Retail work is FUCKING toxic, my friends. So, when you read about Starbucks workers unionizing, SUPPORT them. They need it. When you hear about workers walking out because of unsafe/toxic conditions, BELIEVE them. 4/4

Agreed. Stars don't give an accurate picture, ever. And anyone caught attempting to bully or berate a guest via backchannels bullshit should be sanctioned and forced to partial refund.

This is why leftists and progressives refuse to associate themselves with the word "liberal." This liberal attitude of zero self-awareness, zero accountability demanded, total deflection, blaming the little people, gaslighting all the way to the bank.
I just couldn't bring myself to support Hillary Clinton in 2016. The loss of affirmative action and reproductive rights is a small price to pay when weighed against my status as an interesting person who says cool stuff like "I can only vote my conscience."

Who said "Yes We Can!" While simultaneously responding with "Actually, we can't." Didn't fight hard enough for judges, supreme or otherwise, didn't codify Roe, refused to defend and properly fund public education, using cultural bones like gay marriage as temporary patches?

It's crass how the liberal wing can't take criticism, can't understand where their continued kowtowing to their own version of the donor and corporatist class, assisting in the destruction of unions over the decades, has contributed to the grand American dissonance & disparity.

Really depressing to find out about peach cobbler @PopTartsUS after they're already discontinued. Never saw them in CO, that's for sure. Sigh. I still have the raspberry. I guess.

Democrats will tell you with a straight face that they are “saving democracy” as they sue to kick third parties off ballots and suppress the people from having better choices on election day. The party exists to preserve the status quo and keep us trapped in the duopoly.

I'm beginning to notice that very few decent people are allowed in, regardless. May your state sink ever faster.
I’m warning socialists and communists not to travel to Florida. They are not welcome in the Sunshine State.

A seminal flick in any 80s kid's life. This, Secret of N.I.M.H., and the Dark Crystal.

I'm rarely as excited for a new record to arrive as I am for N.D.E. by Haruomi Hosono. @lightintheattic here's the OG Antilles promo CD from 1996 that 1st introduced me to his work. Given to me evening of Jan 30 '96 by @Poe herself at Jitters internet cafe, Denver, CO.

I was a 19yr old gremlin hanging with the actual cool kids of The New Creatures creative troupe as one of their poet/musician/asphalt angels. Poe was visiting after her show w/ Lenny Kravitz. We talked poetry & why Cameron Stone needed a stage tech. Then she sang for us. Perfect.

"Matt says you can write," she said, handing me the CD. Matt was the owner of Jitters. He'd allowed me to do a reading once or twice. She handed me Antilles with a grin.. "I think you'll appreciate this. It's a little different but it's beautiful." She was right on both accounts.

We dodged a major bullet today: a different decision could have created a precedent that had potential to derail democratic election at every level, most especially presidential. This should be celebrated as our corrupt AF Supreme Court actually did right. abc7ny.com/supreme-court-cas…

This is why we can't have nice things. Or, potentially, shouldn't have anything at all.
