A few days ago @Pumpfun launched their $50 airdrop campaign on pumpfun wallet and I joined as a KOL.
Day one went fine and the rewards landed. nn day two, after I'd brought in over 2,000 users through my referral link, my account was banned.
The part I can't wrap my head around: if some of those referrals abused the code, why is the KOL who drove the traffic the one being penalized?
I can't control what thousands of people each do.
My role was to bring people to the platform, and that's exactly what I did.
Growth like that is usually something a project wants, not something it punishes.
I appealed three days ago and still haven't heard anything back. Would appreciate some clarity on what actually happened.

Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified.
The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far.
Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete.
As an immediate precaution, Binance has:
- temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed;
- revoked the affected address authorisation;
- engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds.
Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice.

The timeline was full of Cookie Snaps, Stake COOKIE, points go up, rank goes up, easier presale allocations.
A lot of people FOMO'd. I was one of them.
October 24, 2025. I staked 100,686 COOKIE. About $8,355.
Today I unstake, now worth $918. Same bag, down roughly 90%.
I'm not the only one. Plenty of people unlocking their 365-day stakes lately are seeing the same number, and the campaign rewards rarely cover the principal.
What happened:
1. Cookie Snaps and InfoFi shut down after X changed its API policy and banned apps that reward posting.
2. Nikita Bier announced it on January 15, 2026, and Cookie sunset Snaps the same day.
3. Tokens already locked stayed locked until the staking period ended. No early unlock.
4. Cookie confirmed the lock-up terms were unchanged.
What I actually took from it:
1. Don't stake a utility token for points, multipliers, or airdrops unless you're fine losing 80 to 90% of the principal.
2. FOMO on a new meta usually means you're the exit liquidity.
3. Same with NFT staking and stake and burn loops. If the yield only works while new buyers keep coming, you're in a queue.
4. Stake our token, get a boost, is risky when the utility depends on a third party like X.
The rank rewards and allocations were real, but in my case they still didn't cover a year of locked tokens. And the opportunity cost was the worst part.
