UPDATE: Chairman James Comer told Newsmax on Thursday that his probe will determine what Mary Peltola knew about the decoy Sullivan scheme, when she knew it, and whether money changed hands.
Comer called the text messages hard evidence of a scheme plotted for several months, searching Alaska for a man with that name.
His question is now public: "Did they pay this fake candidate to put his name on the ballot? Was there cash transferred?"
