One of the few projects we’ve been super excited about is @_portals_ and it seems like their TGE is coming very soon. Recently, their presale sold out in just 11 seconds! nitter.cf/portalsFDN/status/1953… Let me briefly share some points on why we’re bullish on @_portals_ and how they may really have a chance in capturing significant mindshare: 1. Backed by @GreylockVC (investors in Roblox), @multicoin , @mantisVC (founded by members of The Chainsmokers), and having fund manager behemoth, @vaneck_us building spaces, Portals is bridging traditional entertainment and Web3. Think: ETFs and BTC/ETH, fund managers and ONDO/ENA. Portals brings Gen Z & Gen Alpha into Web3, a huge audience previous gaming/metaverse plays failed to capture. 2. OGs @adamq_q and @_bus_bus_bus and the Portals team have quietly been building since 2021 with a diehard community. You know it’s gonna be a good launch if the team’s been working on it for 4Y+. ▪️Their 2021-minted NFTs are still thriving, with top-tier “Operator” NFTs recently selling for ~$250K each, with 6 sold in one week. 3. Portals aims to be the Roblox of Web3—a no-code, browser-based platform for game & content creators to build their own applications. Roblox stock price has been very strong this year with Daily Active Users (DAU) increasing 41% yoy. The catch for Portals, the decentralized Roblox, is creators can tokenize their builds, pairing their own token with $PORTALS. This opens up models that have not been explored before. 4. Roblox game, “Grow A Garden” has generated ~$5M+/month, with its 16-year-old creator earning ~$1.5M of that in Robux. ▪️In Portals, the creator would keep 100% of those fees. Imagine a Web3 flywheel with more creative games being built with fees and revenue flowing back to founders incentivizing them to constantly update their games. 5. Beyond games, Portals will have a DeFi economic layer, where assets can be staked, yield-bearing, and in some cases (like Portals IDs) backed & redeemable for USDC. This could be one of the biggest Web3 launches of the year. Couldn’t be more excited! LFG @_portals_
