Name one? How about a few? Rockefeller lowered the cost of kerosene through efficient refining and distribution. Ford made automobiles affordable through mass production. Carnegie reduced steel production costs through industrial innovation. Walton lowered retail prices through bulk purchasing and efficient logistics. Dell made computers cheaper by eliminating retail intermediaries. Kamprad made furniture affordable through flat-pack manufacturing and distribution. Bezos intensified retail competition through Amazon. Koum made international messaging practically free through WhatsApp. Page and Brin made search, navigation, email, and translation available without direct charges. And that's barely scratching the surface. In fact, it would be considerably more challenging to find a billionaire who earned their fortune through voluntary trade without lowering costs, improving quality, increasing productivity, or making something more accessible. That's how fortunes are generally made in competitive markets. You create value for others, and the more people you serve, the greater your potential reward. You don't even have to buy from these businesses to benefit. Their competitors must improve their offerings or risk losing customers. These clout chasers destroy their credibility daily without so much as flinching. They enjoy the accumulated benefits of capitalist innovation while confidently demanding evidence that any of it ever happened. The economic illiteracy would be impressive if it weren't so commonplace.
Name one time a billionaire has lowered your bills

Any PhD/physician who reports overdoses are down because of a reduction in opioid prescriptions is lying. I spoke with one firefighter who narcan’d an addict six times in one day. What have we achieved? The addict is still on the street it’s just that these harm reduction fraudsters are feeding their addiction
Replying to @CMerandi
i totally agree. Giving addicts needles to shoot up the contaminated drug supply and narcan so they never die is fucking retarded and destroys communities. I know a guy who ODd 10 times still wont quit fentanyl. True harm reduction would be selling oxycontin or vicodin like beer.

Although this person is being unnecessarily histrionic about it, I can confirm that this is a thing with HW3 2026.38.5.11/14.3 Lite. I had it do it to me four times the other day. (I disengaged, and recorded a description for Tesla.) You're the supervisor, Ryan. It didn't "try to kill you." It made a mistake that you, as the Supervisor, are supposed to understand can happen and must correct for. FSD works AMAZINGLY well on 6-year-old hardware! Don't go pitching a fit just because it's not perfect. You understand you're a supervisor. Disengage, report it, and get the update when it comes out.
I just canceled my Full Self Driving subscription, and I’m posting this in hopes someone at @Tesla sees and can fix the most recent update. My car tried to kill me 4x yesterday. It’s veering off the road randomly and slamming on the breaks on highways for no reason. FSD has gone from the biggest selling point for owning a Tesla to a serious liability. From significantly safer than a human to outright dangerous to use. This new update (2026.38.5.11 HW3) should not have been released. This is going to kill people and Tesla needs to do something as soon as possible. @elonmusk

If it's "inextricably bound up with facts and ideas," doesn't that make it merger? The idea/expression dichotomy is clear: you can ONLY copyright expression, not ideas or facts. Merger is when the idea cannot be separated from the expression, and in such a case you can't then claim a copyright on expression. They defeated their own argument!
© law professors argue expression is inextricably bound up w/ facts/ideas and AI training thus is not fair use: "The technological novelty of generative AI does not render its operational purpose transformative." courtlistener.com/docket/698…

Again, I'm failing to see the problem.
Future of Life Inst, @FLI_org, + many diverse other groups go after AI exceptionalism for Plaintiffs: "If one were designing legal arguments sure to swallow copyright law, one could hardly do better than the arguments made by Defendants in this case." courtlistener.com/docket/698…

Wait... Is she saying she wouldn't reveal major sex crimes without copyright protections for 70 years after she dies???
Counsel for Ashley Judd argue for Plaintiffs that AI threatens investigative journalism: "Copyright protection makes investigative journalism possible and "gave Ms. Judd the confidence to publicly accuse Weinstein possible." courtlistener.com/docket/698…

I think the recent screeching over the ArtCraft programs along with the ridiculous amicus briefs being filed for the plaintiffs in the OpenAI MDL confirms what I've been demonstrating for years: To be anti-AI is to be pro-corporations controlling every aspect of our lives!

Uh huh. "Companies of that size." And the startups? The open source projects? The small groups of enthusiasts?
.@SAGAFTRA and other entertainment union amici argue AI training is not categorically fair use and @OpenAI can pay to license: "Companies of that size can afford to license the works they use." courtlistener.com/docket/698…

Just had an interesting edge case for FSD 14.3-Lite: a funeral procession. It was in the oncoming lane, so FSD wasn't going to slow down, so I disengaged. I don't think it's a legal requirement to slow down, but you should in order to be respectful of those who just lost a loved one. @tesla @elonmusk @aelluswamy

The organic neural nets don't properly stop for emergency vehicles! Yet they remain at version 1.0, with NO updates being delivered! Why is this DANGEROUS technology still allowed on the road?

I've pointed this out many times. Bonus points if they mention FSD when FSD wasn't even on!
Notice how the headlines work. A Toyota crashes: "Driver injured in crash." A Ford crashes: "Two cars collide on highway." A BMW crashes: "Accident on Route 1." A Tesla crashes: "TESLA crashes." Not the driver. Not "a car." The brand, in the headline, every single time. Millions of crashes happen on the roads every year, and almost none come with a brand name. But when it's a Tesla, legacy media suddenly cares which car it was. Meanwhile, Tesla publishes its own safety data every quarter. With Autopilot engaged, Teslas go far more miles between crashes than the US average. That's not journalism. That's a campaign. The cars keep getting safer. The headlines just keep getting louder.

I'll bet you anything that, whenever such a situation happens, 999 times out of 1,000 the driver will simply swerve into the middle lane instead of crashing; and when crashing there's well under a 50% chance they'd be thrown over into BOTH of the other lanes. Yet, these unfrosted miniwheats like Fred Lambert INSIST that this was 100% foreseeable and that THEY would have avoided the accident. BULLSHIT AND THEY KNOW IT!!!
FSD had nowhere to go? Come on. This is a good example of a crash where FSD is technically not responsible, but it was a contributing factor. An attentive driver not on FSD would have seen this coming and either moved to the left lane or slowed down.

We now have these lying dillpickles saying you should SLAM THE BRAKES ON A HIGHWAY when a car MIGHT (but probably won't) crash into something, based 100% on Hindsight Bias. (Or based on their hatred of Tesla or AI or whatever's really motivating them...)
Replying to @shanedk @KuceraJiri
Shane, what do you think happened to all the vehicles following? Did they brake and avoid the wreck? Or did they all keep driving and pile into it?

Watch an organic neural net cause an accident on the highway! Unlike silicon neural nets, the organics aren't being updated despite numerous and repeated accidents like this! Why isn't this hideously unsafe technology being BANNED???

"Hey, person who has frequented the Malfoid Tag since week one... did you know that your Image is AI generated?" Hey person who is demonstrating that you're functionally retarded... did you know that the Malfoid Tag is *FULL* of artists that use both AI and regular art, and they work together to create one of the Cultural Moments influencing your history? You do realize how stupid you look when you say such a thing... in the Malfoid Tag, don't you? Your ship has sailed, Buttercup. Malfoid is the evidence you Anti-AI people are functionally over. #Malfoid #HarryPotter

Another repost to consider: This is a perfect example of how democracy completely and utterly fails us! nitter.cf/shanedk/status/2107408…
So here's the issue with democracy, and why we're going to continue to be saddled with the stupidest time-based decision since the leap-second: 19% of Americans are retarded. We all know that. (In fact, most of us are surprised it's not more than that.) The retarded people want to keep this godawful system that makes no sense and kills people. But they are vastly outnumbered by the 72% who wants the time changes stopped. So that means that, as the majority, they get what they want, right? Sorry, sunshine—NOT how Democracy works! Here's how it REALLY happens: A "lock the clock" movement starts, with the proponents pushing permanent DST. The Permanent Standard people throw a fit and oppose them, stopping the bill—siding with the retards. Another movement might start for Permanent Standard, which will be opposed by Permanent DST—who will, likewise, now side with the retards. And so the bottom line is that, until the DST/Standard Time people just agree to lock the clock SOMEWHERE and work out the rest later, the retards—the 19%, a minority of a minority—are going to be the ones getting what they want. This is exactly how the Nazis seized power. In Germany in 1932, the 18.3% of Germans who were retards voted for the Nazis. But because the rest of the vote was split between parties who couldn't work together, the Nazis completely took over the Reichstag. Democracy is bad. Also, STOP CHANGING THE FUCKING CLOCKS!!! And STOP SIDING WITH RETARDS!!!

Reposting this. I'm about to have a VERY bad week next week...
Daylight Saving Time never saved energy. It has always been a trick to make us set alarms an hour earlier than Standard Time, in the hopes that we’ll spend more money
