Adding a $100k fee for H1Bs is another shot in the chest for the US Biotech industry, which is already struggling. If we can't attract the best global talent, we will struggle to innovate and create novel drugs for patients with devastating diseases.

True for the #biotech sector in my opinion as well. I have seen and heard of many over the past year increase their runway by slowing down their hiring plans while focusing their goals to get to the next inflection point. carta.com/blog/startup-compe… #startups

My dad is the hardest working person I've ever met. He had to retire on disability two years ago at age 63 and is declining rapidly. This has completely changed my view on work. Take your vacations now. Explore the world and never wait for retirement. You might not reach it.
Encourage your parents even while they're young and healthy to put together an advance care plan. The speed in which my dad has declined mentally is astonishing. We all think we have more time. #dementia #caregiving

As someone suddenly taking care of a parent age 64, I am thankful for this piece: statnews.com/2023/02/06/care… Navigating the healthcare system over the past few months has been absolute hell. There is NOTHING appropriate for our parents.
