“The Christian’s cup in this world is never half empty. It is always half full. Because even though we may not understand God’s reasons for whatever happens to us, we can know that he is accomplishing a grand divine plan that will ultimately glorify him and benefit us.” - W. Mack – at Kingsburg, CA
Got a chance to read an advance copy of @Matt_Rehrer’s new book. It is excellent and will help pastors, counselors, and all Christians in their battle for real rest. As the kids say “Don’t sleep on this one”…unless you plan to use it as a pillow. a.co/d/0egAhwdw
I took this in June 2001 from a boat headed out to see the Statue of Liberty on my senior class trip. The Towers were just epic.
I assume Ricky Martin is living a lavish lifestyle today because I can't find a shopping experience where "Livin' la Vida Loca" is not playing on the hi-fi.
I wish we would stop calling Pulisic our “star.” He isn’t. Loses the ball and not a difference maker.
I don't know who is running the social media over at To Every Tribe, but this stuff is really good. Give them a follow and be reminded of the simple costs involved with taking the gospel "to the ends of the earth."
To reach the unreached, we have to be willing to fully enter their world. That means learning a new language, understanding new customs, and yes—getting up close with the local wildlife! Taking time to pause and appreciate a banana spider in Papua New Guinea with the kids reminds us that church planting is a holistic journey. It’s in these shared, everyday realities that genuine trust is built.

Thanks to @AndrewPeterson I followed the signs “to the statues” this afternoon with one of my kids. Had a great discussion about Jesus weeping in the garden and what it meant that he was “in anguish.” – at Kentucky, USA
Excited to announce my new rapper themed ice cream shop “Scoop Dog” featuring the Flava Flaves of the day: Eminem, Coolio and Cream, and of course a crowd favorite Vanilla Ice.
Could just be me, but for some reason there seems to be a difference between preaching in the morning vs the evening. As I write my sermon notes I'm sometimes thinking about that. Maybe it's because I spent nearly 7 years preaching to youth at night... but AM vs PM is different.
It seems almost weekly that I'm being emailed to be part of a class action lawsuit against some major tech company. I look forward to many $9.37 checks rolling in!

Hard to argue with these words, honestly:
Knowing you
Knowing you
I found my reason for living and Jesus it's knowing you Loving you
Loving you
I found my reason for breathing and Jesus it's loving you
Thankful to preach! Pray for me as I bring another message tonight to the high school students out of John 12.
