Please take all of Bella Ramsey’s pain and suffering and give it to Gal Gadot and Noah Schnapp

Love people who’s like “go play the game” when I criticise the show because what the fuck do you mean??? I’ve played the game 30 times and that’s why I’m criticising TLOUS2’s writing. Seeing my goat being sideline in what’s supposed to be HER season is crazy and so wrong.

him saying “if somehow the lord gave me a second chance at that moment, i would do it all over again” IS supposed to be him saying i love you!!!!!!! this was another case of mazin telling the audience every single thing & holding their hand

Ellie Williams is one of the strongest and most well written female characters in gaming history and her adapted counterpart does not reflect that mostly because of Craig Mazin

The Last of Us ran at about 50% of its full potential all season, and not trusting its audience led to a product that might work on its own, but it's a pale shadow of its source material.

The rewatchability of Season 2 is not looking so great. They did Ellie so dirty that I get mad just thinking about it.

“Ellie is not really capable of killing Owen” and she killed David with machete in Season 1. Like what is the reasoning behind the sudden underestimation of Ellie and her ability to kill people? Owen was taller than Ellie in the game and she killed him.

"For this, Ellie is not really capable of killing Owen — you look at Bella and you look at Spencer Lord, he’s 6’4″ and just incredibly imposing. A physical struggle wasn’t going to go well, and she’s not there to kill them. She just wants to kill Abby. I remember saying to Neil that as fucked up as that moment was in the game, I think it can be more fucked up and not to be a tormentor”

REVIEW: The Last of Us Season 2 A letdown. Mazin didn’t seem to trust the source material or the audience. The game hits hard without handholding; the show over-explains, softens the impact, shifts the tone off-key, and loses the story’s emotional core in translation. 6/10

Ellie Williams is my all time favourite fictional character and seeing her being so blatantly mischaracterised in Season 2 is why I’m so critical of the way Craig Mazin wrote her. Shoutout to Bella Ramsey who did their best with whatever script they got.

man if killing is that big of an issue then dont adapt the game that is based around grief and revenge and murder
#TheLastOfUs showrunner Craig Mazin on why they cut the death of Alice the Dog “There are two cardinal rules in Hollywood, one, don’t spend your own money... two, don’t kill a dog" “Plus, because it’s live action, the nature of violence becomes much more graphic ... it’s very disturbing ... And in our conversation, we’re like this [is] probably one [death] too many" (via @Polygon)
