SCI tanker MT Desh Suraksha has safely transited the Strait of Hormuz, marking its successful passage through the strategic waterway under the current phase of operations. Notably, SCI was the first Indian shipping company to commence transit of its vessels through the Strait of Hormuz following the onset of the crisis. The vessel commenced its crossing on the eve of the Day of Seafarers —a fitting tribute to the courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment of Indian seafarers serving the nation under challenging conditions. The accomplishment underscores the dedication and fortitude of Indian seafarers engaged in critical maritime operations. As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 campaign, The Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) organized an insightful training session yesterday on “Conduct Rules and Conflict of Interest.” We were honored to have Shri.
