Flying under the radar of today’s drama is Figma’s nonsensical handling of MCP availability lmao (Pi/OpenCode)
I literally just chose to use @paper a few months ago because it Figma MCP was unusable and it looks like the situation is as bad as ever. Very happy I moved on!
Hang it in the Louvre, I love this message (and this applies to me as much as anyone)
Since I accepted this invite - Instinct has helped me follow up on dozens of threads and saved me hours of work (including retrieving a deposit I didn’t get back for over a year)!
Strongly believe that the average person will benefit from this type of democratized intelligence

i don't see any solution to the ai risk problem than mass accessibility to ai
if they're going to be around potentially causing damage then everyone needs to have ai defending them
this is how cyber security works, we rely on the fact that there's more good guys than bad
Reviewing code - especially vibe coded PRs from non-technical folk - is so much better with AI
You get to probe at the intent, generate data flow diagrams on the fly, better iterate on your ideas for revisions, and still think about code quality
One of the best products I’ve gotten to use, congrats to the team!
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics.
The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra.
The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

and i will do it twice a year, every year, until i either die or run out of money
modern travel is increasingly flying 10 hours to experience a slightly different version of the same globally optimized lifestyle.
same third wave coffee. same natural wine bar. same brutalist menu. same sourdough. same beige hotel. same tasteful ceramics. same instagram lighting.
what a ridiculous convergence.
I’d argue that there’s never been a better time to join or start an Applied AI / Product company.
The labs’ ambitions will be constrained by CAPEX / Safety / Regulatory Headwinds - and I imagine the internal costs of creating and deploying these measures will continue to grow
I wrote about the state of AI, why I’m concerned about the next few years, and the choices we need to make to keep the future in humanity’s hands.

Every company should be thoughtful about whether these benchmarks scale to their internal tasks (e.g GLM-5.3 Flash uses more tokens than GPT-5.6 Luna but still saves about 30% in $/task)
Eval everything, token efficiency is great but don’t assume it applies to what you’re doing
First time going on vacation before a major model release - very mixed feelings
Everything I’ve heard seems to indicate Astra will be a step function change, need some rest but excited to get back and burn
Fable 5.1 feels like the first usable Anthropic model since maybe Opus 4.6. I can finally understand the words being printed on the screen again!
