I see you over there friend
Across the ocean
Traveling through the fires
Of intense emotion
Pleading with the Goddess
That somehowβsomeway
My spirit will empower
You to survive this day
Long have I watched
A struggle of depression
Your tainted will to live
I offer my protection

I spent an overnight trip at the seaside yesterday.
The scenery and the food were both fantastic.
Iβm planning to go again next year.

Hello.
November 2nd.
A new week has begun. Iβm feeling a bit worn out, and as a result, Iβve developed a cold sore.
I went to the clinic to get some medication for it.
Anyway, letβs try to spend today with a smile and a calm heart.
Have a wonderful day.

On a still morning, sitting by the froth of Burbage Brook as it tumbles through Padley Gorge, you can't help feeling that you've somehow fallen into a different world ... perhaps when you tripped over that tree root. Here, there's no haste or pressure, no noise but the constant rush and bubble of water and the occasional fall of a leaf. I find that I always stay long, long after I've taken the shot, losing track of time, just watching and listening and breathing it all in, so grateful for such places and the chance to fall into them.
This is the view that will be bringing autumn peace to your wall throughout November if you managed to snap up one of my 2026 Peak District Calendars. My 2027 Calendar is still available but I'm now running low on stock - so if you would like one for only Β£10.95 + UK P&P please see the link in the comments below or in my bio. Thank you.

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we werenβt in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. βBut Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to riskβgetting lost in Hollywood for years and years?β. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in Londonβs West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

It's so rich of you, the elixir
green blobs below,
wanting to hang out
but three feet away?
We'll flock again today
until a coo comes about,
gone you'll go, you know
