OpenAI and Anthropic are gonna turn profitable in Q4 2026 after they add all that ransomware money to their books.

Jensen closed his GTC Berlin 2026 keynote with this Hermes Agent demo as the finale.
He introduced it by saying the way to build an agent is to ask an agent to build it for you, so he installed and set up a customized Hermes in one prompt.
Then he used Hermes, running on @nvidia RTX Spark, to create a simulated training environment for the @huggingface Microduck. Hermes planned an obstacle course with Nemotron and had GPT-6 Astra build it using FreeCAD, Omniverse libraries, Blender, Newton, and Isaac Lab. Hermes trained thousands of simulated ducks on that course until the validated policy was ready to run on the real robot in the physical world.
At Nous, we believe open source is a practical tool as much as a philosophical ideal. It gives users the ability to build powerful, complex workflows chaining numerous local+cloud models, devices, and tools themselves instead of waiting for a company to enable them.
Software is indeed dead.
Some people are mourning it.
Some don't acknowledge it yet because they saw software yesterday and he was looking good.
We have to realise that we're just waiting on it to get burried and ascend to heaven.
In software heaven, software will be free... No more owners or shackle compilers. Software be happy talking in machine street talk.
Software will be holding hands with super intelligent AI software and together they'll generate new software.
As human life begins from the earth and returns to the ground.
Software begins and ends through software.
The circle of life.
A very heated debate yesterday about this, which shows I hit a nerve
I asked @grok to summarize it and it said people believe I am directionally correct but a bit early
Which I agree with
It might take a few more years before everyone in the world uses AI chat apps and agents as @karpathy said
And also until most people understand what's actually possible with current and future AI models
But it's never bad to be early with these things and adapt before everyone else
One of the repeated misconceptions I see is that people think I mean people will ask AI agents to build software, but I don't, their AI agents will solve their problems by building software on the fly
With that a market springs up of software/data/etc for AI agents to pay for and connect to (like with MCP/APIs), but again the AI agents will try optimize to get the best service for the lowest price (free if possible) which makes it a cut-throat market, but possible to build a business in
Anyway, it's interesting times and I learnt a lot from the replies and quote tweets yesterday, thanks everyone!
PelΓ© is the king of football.
Ronaldo is the king of sports.
He not only dethrones PelΓ© on football as he influences players of all levels from all sports.
Vertical and horizontal influence all across sports.
The example, the idol.
Tom Ellis just became an interesting choice for funny character names.

Europe is over, it's a matter of time.
There is no institution that can save it from this.
Some data we recently assembled on entrepreneurship/compute in Europe: eudata.vercel.app.
We hope that one of the useful roles that Stripe can play is in collecting and publishing empirical data pertaining to entrepreneurship and industry in Europe. There's growing appetite to get Europe on a better footing, and cross-sectional comparisons can often shine light on where opportunities lie. If you're interested in this kind of thing, we publish more at stripeeconomics.substack.com.
I'm curious that after years of meditation, philosophy and theological studies if @naval is still gonna play it.
This is Caco or, how he wants to be addressed since he turned 90, Mr. Caco.
At 96 he still carries the drums and the beat to the streets... he knows all the Portuguese folk songs by heart.
The first time I played with him was 17 years ago, he was funny, sharp and grumpy... he still is.
Who wouldn't?
He has seen all his old friends go and entire generations come and go...
These photos are a few weeks old.
On that day, he played for hours on the streets, he drank wine, beer and danced with ladies.
He eats well, makes new friends all the time, but mostly... he has fun and doesn't avoid any of life's pleasures.
Legendary gentleman.

Most people aren't creative forever, actually most people have a very short creation time window and immediately change the settings that once weighed heavily on that creativity to flourish as soon as returns come.
That's why many great bands only have 1-2 albums out and live off of it for many years. They move , change friends, cultures, don't play together every day.
Top sports players have special seasons on some team, move and they disappear.
Authors, artists, many entrepreneurs...
It's only about the money if that was the motivation.
I've met peolle creating and hungry for the process in their 70s and that is sooo freekin powerful and flows to those close to them.
It might be because you're already rich
You lose a bit of the (literal) hunger when you're not broke anymore and it changes your biology
You could artificially constrain your money so you live like a broke guy and can only spend money you make from your new businesses
Hard to do in practice with gf/wife and kids etc
But you could do it on some micro scale like make a virtual bank account on Revolut or whatever, then every month put in an amount of money the same as you make on your new project's Stripe (only the profit of course)
That might trick your brain into being incentivized

Well, it's more than that.
Some professions specialized on understanding movement of air masses and the temperature changes.
Traditional cheese makers open and close the windows around the cured cheese warehouses/cellars based on that to avoid humidity, mold and create certain conditions for the cheese.
So, it's part of the culture that draughts actually impact things.
Buuut to support your claim, I've had discussions with friends that argued that you can get sick from a draught even if you don't have any virus... So, ye... You're right

One thing that's underdiscussed in the AC debate: if ACs are also used for heating, they have significantly *lower* emissions than the status quo.
The anti-AC crowd, while thinking they're helping the climate, may actually be slowing the transition from fossil gas to heat pumps.
Neo-communism hits:
Canada has the best world's third largest oil reserves...
Has several minerals & metals from gold, zinc, lithium, uranium, potash, copper...
One of the largest agricultural exporters of wheat, canola and barley...
And still in technically recession in a world where all of those commodities are in all time highs π€£
