In researching my new book, Requiem for Gaza, I discovered how Israel systematically targeted and killed the Palestinian professional class (such as doctors and journalists), an obvious genocidal tactic. Today, more than 60 villages in southern Lebanon, beginning with those adjacent to the border, and beyond that, throughout the entire security zone up to the Yellow Line, an area of 700 square kilometers, are destroyed. All the villages have been wiped out. Twenty-three thousand houses, all destroyed, demolished. I am not even talking about what is underground, about the tunnels. Everything has been destroyed.
