Finding these slightly tricky @MothIDUK I think: 1. Pammene fasciana 2. Ancylis comptana 3.Dioryctria sylvestrella and 4. Endothenia gentianaeana

Struggling with this Noctuid @MothIDUK Any help gratefully received. The closest I can get is a dusky brocade.

Any recommendations for a decent #nocmig kit costing ~£300-400? I have a Rode NTG2 attached to a borrowed Tascam R-05 (joined with XLR to 3.5mm mini-jack). However, the Tascam picks up calls better on its own than when the NTG2 is attached. Advice approciated - @simon_gillings

A few from the weekend in Hampshire. I have the pug down as oak-tree. Not sure about the micro. Any help @MothIDUK ?

Seen on an interpretation board on the Isle of Wight. Maybe it was intentional as future proofing for global warming? Seems unlikely though.

Love this photo of a Wryneck from outside the ECOSA office in Hampshire back in Sept 2018. ⁦@HOSbirding⁩

1st moth trap in the new garden in Ashurst. Fingers crossed for a few migrants, but any species will be NFG!

Nice patch of burrowing clover along Saltgrass Lane, Keyhaven. Unique in that some of the flowering heads burrow into the ground. ⁦@LymKeyRanger⁩

⁦@guardian⁩ thx for raising this issue. However, the picture you have is of netting used to catch birds for scientific purposes rather than netting used to cover hedges I.e it’s been specifically designed to catch birds. This is misleading. Also that’s not a UK species!

And what a night it was!

Not everyday you see a wryneck whilst sat at your desk! This one was in the ECOSA office garden near North Baddesley last week.

#countryfile disgraceful showing mountain biking off designated tracks in the #new forest. Promoting irresponsible and illegal activities!

#cowselfies #tregullasfarm before the rain!
