My pick of soulful delights from 24. Not been on here much this year, for one reason or other. Best wishes and Big Love to the soulful community. music.apple.com/gb/playlist/…

My selection on the Christmas juke box didn’t draw the crowds. D’Influence, Magic. Uk Street soul at its best, tucked away in the Juke Box Vaults.

Ooooh. One of the best duets you will ever hear. Rare as rocking horse shit. Thank you @soulguru for pointing me in this direction. Christmas bonus funding. m.youtube.com/watch?v=pC4X90…

Not posted anything for ages. This is the type of new tune Steve Hobbs would have raved about in @BluesandSoul 35 years ago, that I would have hunted down and prob bought in Alan Fearnly Records on Linthorpe Road, Boro. Joyous souly, jazzy vibes. music.apple.com/gb/album/tro…

I’m poolside, Lanzarote, reflecting on my musical preferences in 2024. It’s mostly glorious 70’s, but a sprinkling of new tunes here. Jump in and join me. music.apple.com/gb/playlist/…

Probably the best music-related news (for me) of the year.
Luther Vandross (@luthervandross) profile pictureLuther Vandross@luthervandross21 Feb 2024
For the first time in over 40 years, Luther Vandross’ first two albums are being re-released. ‘Luther’ and ‘This Close to You,” originally released on Cotillion Records, will be available in vinyl, CD, and digital formats in April and June, respectively.

My phone has just thrown this at me from my “Best of 23” playlist, but could easily have been from my “Best of 76” playlist. Mad Honey. Classy. music.apple.com/gb/album/tim…
