A common question, a single answer. Nothing. Never. Engage with the argument and state your case. Smears are worthless.
I love these posts from @gathara but unfortunately they are having the wrong effect: I now have an insane desire to taste this dubious delicacy as I simply don't know what it's all about. Anyone in London serve this (willingly)?
I have repeatedly criticised Trump, Israeli policy, MAGA, Netanyahu etc etc. I do NOT condemn Somaliloand's government- even though I regret some of their actions- for one simple reason. They have waited 35 years for recognition. That's long enough. No-one has the right to judge.
I am coming back to this platform for one reason: to support my friends in Somaliland. By pure chance, when I logged in after months away, this image was in my feed, with a comment by a Somaliland citizen. I am reposting it, not for the benefit of Landers but for UK officials 1/7
Chaos. Our economy is suffering, the EU has not the slightest clue of what to do any more than us. Meantime, here is a friend with their hand outstretched waiting for us to take it. This is in our interests, we aren't doing any favours here, we would simply be securing an- 6/7
Alliance that we badly need.
@FCDOGovUK what is your story here? Why are you not acting to secure our interests at a time of massive insecurity? Are you open to a proper discussion about this? I want to talk to you as a UK citizen. I will be in touch. END
Are the two sides at least talking about the issues? It seems fairly simple to me (naively perhaps). You insist on accountability. That's it. Mind you, we don't do that with the Americans...
It's interesting to see how this news has been reported in Kenya overnight. There are lots of competing factors at play. The big question is whether the government there will issue any licenses into 2027, when there are five British Army exercises planned. @ForcesNews
Hello Professor- and sorry for my long silence. I'd be very interested. I know my uncle was at Kohima and in the Arakan action before that. I am not sure when the Somaliland soldiers arrived so it would be excellent to have a detailed history of their role.
Do you mistake me for someone who wants murder to go unpunished? I have said for some years now that the culprits should be extradited to Kenya to face justice and abuse of this kind should never happen again. I applaud Kenya's action and am sorry it dodn't happen sooner.
Um yes, I kind of noticed that. Why is it being issued as a location for some kind of serious investment in infrastructure? Is there a plan behind it? Stating the obvious is amusing but not helpful.
Would love to know more. My maternal uncle was there, commanding a company of the Punjab regiment. He would have been very close to this action. Alas- now dead and can't explain.
Long overdue! Where is the trial of the murderers of Agnes Wanjiru? The UK could have done the right thing at any time. We have no complaints whatsoever. Mutual accountability and respect or no deal.
A major British Army training deployment to Kenya has been cancelled
The Kenyan government refused to issue the licences needed for troops to train. The last-minute decision affects 1 LANCS' September exercise

What does this mean? Where is the detailed plan?

Air Zimbabwe has secured a wet lease from Spain’s national carrier and resumed flights to London Gatwick (LGW).
Can someone explain why can’t #Somaliland do the same? With just two leased aircraft, it could finally reconnect to the rest of the world in the same way Daallo Airlines used to do when it flew to LGW.
Somalilanders are paying 70% more in dollars to transit through Addis Ababa and Dubai. Everyone is making money from Somalilanders! That has to end.
For the first time in 14 years, Air Zimbabwe is flying to London. The new thrice-weekly service is operated by a wet leased Plus Ultra A330. flightradar24.com/AZW724/40c…
I am delighted to see it. The UK only had to agree strict accountability to safeguard Kenyan civilians, but refused. It's about time Kenya acted to uphold the integrity of its territory and people.
@gathara what do you think about this?
