A great album takes you somewhere. I'm wanted to design a music player that does the same: every page transition is unique, so moving through the app feels like a journey that keeps evolving. More to come.
Just signed in to my Apple account on my MacBook and it sent the 2FA code to... my MacBook. The second factor is literally the device I'm already holding.
Loving this open source revolution, but why is everyone doing 1:1 recreations?
We finally get to go back to the drawing board and rethink these apps from the ground up after decades. Cloning feels like a missed opportunity.
How are you making your apps better, not just open?
Maybe the folks at @Railway are just trying to get their customers AI tokens back by taking them from their competitors 🤔? Bold strategy.
My Weekend prototype: BrushCraft, a sculpting app designed around high-poly meshes from day one.
1.26 billion polygons. It streams and LODs the mesh, so each frame draws ~16M triangles, and brush strokes land in 1.5 ms.
Built in Rust on Vulkan.
NOT affiliated with @get_artcraft in any way to be clear. Though I am big fans of their work. Maybe one day.
Experimenting with some new hero designs for my Mom's Spiritual Direction ministry. Love how much web has evolved.
Love it 😂
computeRicinLethalDosageForWaterSupply
calculateDeadlyLethalSuicideAspirinDosage
• Astra:
• Astra + Daybreak Blue:
Made a small thing for @omarchy : it switches your theme on a schedule. Light at sunrise, dark at sunset, or any times you pick. If you change the theme by hand, it stays put until the next slot. github.com/simonhull/omarchy…
I'm wondering how many people just believe the numbers before listening to live testing or their favorite creators these days. Speaking as someone who cancelled my @GeminiApp sub yesterday. I feel like Benchmaxxing has killed much of the hype around new models.
Any @AndroidDev 's out there who know to speed up the Google review process? My app reviews used to take 2 - 3 days. Now they're taking 2 - 3 weeks which is making it hard to ship fixes and updates to users (especially in Alpha). Apple continues to review in 48hrs tops.
I needed to put winter tires on my new car. @bot scoured all the local stores comparing quality to cost and checking sales before presenting me with several options and booking me in for this morning. New favorite use case.
As if the whole internet being on fire wasn't enough...
This is tragic, both as a resident of Alberta and someone who grew up on and loved Bioware's games (Mass Effect 2 is probably still my all time favorite). Can't say I'm surprised but it's a dark day for game dev.
BREAKING: BioWare is shutting down and the next Mass Effect game is canceled, according to a new report. bit.ly/4iwUR0J
